LUCKY YOU!!!!!!! Congrats! We went earlier this year and our next Disney World trip is planned for 2010 UNLESS I can talk DH into going next year. Will you be visiting Disneyland during your San Diego trip?

I have been looking at booking another trip. We were just there in Feb and I wanted to go back before we left! Waiting to see if any good deals come up for 2009 first.

We were there the first full week of June....it was my first, and the first for my grandkids. It was so unbearably crowded, and unbearably hot that most of the time, we were pretty miserable. We didn't get to do alot of the things and ride alot of the rides that I had planned for, because of the long lines..(even WITH fast passes!). I told my dh that this was the most "expensive misery" that I had ever suffered...everyone with us agreed, and decided that was our first and last trip to Orlando. It sure made us appreciate Branson alot more than we did!

However..when we got home, and looked at the 600 plus pics that I took (no kidding)...I realized that we did have a great time when we weren't standing in line! The things that we did get to experience and the rides that we did get to do were amazing...and we hope to go back again in a couple of years, when our baby grandaughter gets old enough, as she didn't get to go this year. Of course, it will NOT be in the summer this time...that was an expensive, hard lesson to learn!

In 2006 we went during the first week of June and it WAS extremely hot and crowded. This year we went April 17-22nd and it also was quite crowded but gorgeous weather! I can deal with crowds OR I can deal with heat but not both at the same time. Disney World is our favorite vacation destination with Branson as very close 2nd. Our daughter has autism and Disney is so accommodating to her needs and that is why we will keep going back.

We also went to Disney World during the first week in June. It was our second trip. The heat and crowds at Disney is like the traffic in Branson. You just have to go in with the mind set that it is going to be that way and you might as well just accept it. If you can't handle it, then stay home!

We went in February two years ago and it was fantastic. We hardly had any lines and the weather was cool at night, but great during the day. I think Disney hotel rates are cheaper then too! We could get off a ride and hop back on with little wait.

Well...we didn't really know what mind set to have since we were first timers! However..we did know that there would be "crowds"...we just didn't expect

CROWDS!!

We will "handle it"...just a different time of year...maybe February...

No we won't. I know we will be so close but I am OK not going (I think). We are sticking to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park (can you tell we love animals). Probably will go see a baseball game and then just relax as much as possible.

We are going in September and hoping for free dining special again. Only thing I have to worry about is huricaines. That is when we went last time and never waited more than 15 minutes for any ride and most of them we waked right on.

I wish we could take advantage of the free Disney Dining but now we are restricted to traveling during school holiday times. DD misses too many of her therapies if we go during school. DH wants to go for his 40th birthday next year but that is in July!
