Show recommendations

I am heading to Branson next weekend with my 12-year-old daughter. I have already purchased tickets to The Haygoods for Friday night off of this board's recommendation. I was thinking of getting us tickets for a Saturday show too. My daughter loves dance so I was thinking Spirit of the Dance until I read some awful reviews on TripAdvisor. I've also heard some good things about the Magnificent Seven show. Has anybody seen either of these shows recently and can recommend one or the other or any other show? Thank you!

Go see the Broadway show at the Branson Variety Theatre. There is lots of dancing and singing. Your daughter will fall in love with the lead of the show. Gene Yaws is AWESOME!!! Darbie Pope is wonderful too. The Broadway dancers help make the show too.

My family just got back from Branson yesterday. We saw the Haygoods the second day and they are amazing. The whole town has amazing talent. You won't be dissapointed with them. The Duttons and Six are pretty good also.

Breaking Up is Hard to Do, a MUSICAL featuring the songs of Neil Sedaka

Let me suggest Breaking Up Is Hard To Do. I guarantee your 12 year old will love it. Dance, Music, comedy. The pre-teens really relate to it, because it is like High School Musical, and best yet Kids 17 and under are FREEE!
try it you'll LOVE it!

I'd second the Broadway Theatre idea and also mention the Chinese Acrobats.
While it isn't dancing, it is a spectacular show that kids of all ages seem to love.

Unfortunately, the Branson Variety Theater just started a two-week break. I also highly recommend the Chinese Acrobats -- I've not yet seen a full show of them, but everyone I've talked to who has seen the show just raves about them! and these are people whose opinions I trust...people with very discriminating taste when it comes to the shows they see here in town.

I haven't seen Broadway, but we have seen Magnificent 7 and it is a great show. Over 100 costume changes with all dancing and singing. Lots of props also. It covers 7 decades of music. My 9 year old daughter loved it. My children also love the Baldknobbers but we did not like the Presleys.
