I have only seen Six, but DW has seen both ....The verdict--both are very good, but she gives the nod to The Tenors.

Thanks for the threads, lucyann. I read both threads and it sounds like both shows R highly recommended, which makes my decision even harder! I would still like to hear from any one who has seen these shows and get their opinion. We have 3 & 7 year old girls, do U think they would enjoy either?

SIX!! However, I haven't seen the 12 Tenors. SIX is very entertaining and lively, sure to keep their attention.

I have seen both shows -- multiple times on both. Thoroughly enjoy them, but would give the nod to SIX. While the Tenors are good, SIX has tighter harmonies, is a much more "lively" show, and you're guaranteed all live singing...no lip-synching at all, and no soundtracks

I have been wondering about the Twelve Tenors myself. I noticed someone mentioned lip synching and that was my question. Every show I have seen in this theater had so much in it that i felt it took from the shows. Is there a lot in the Twelve Tenors also?

But if it is... Pavarotti must be spinning in his grave right now! Six is Live, for sure... No band... Total voice performance! Really Great! |

It's not out-and-out lip-synching like you find much of in Spirit of the Dance. But it's a combination of live singing with additional tracked voices. Whereas EVERYTHING you hear with SIX is totally live.

I just saw the TENORS yesterday. I guess the additional voices were what made SO much sound! There were a few solos, though, and they can certainly sing. One of the tenors was incredibly fun to watch. I think
his name is Jay? He was tall and blonde and really was getting into performing. Much more so than the others. Granted they were all talented, but he was putting more into it. They were all very easy on the eyes, though. My 8 y.o. son enjoyed the show, but got a little embarassed when they were shakin it,LOL! |
