Last time I past by, nobody, and that is sad...
I would love to see it brought back to it's original "Show Palace."
Only the owners of the property know why it is bassically empty..
I do know, some of the so called Superstars, have priced themselves out of Branson.

If I WERE a superstar, I wouldn't want to be caught performing there - they've let weeds grow up in the parking lot, which is falling apart, there is no landscaping, the carpet is shot and I can't imagine that the back of the theater is in much better shape. If they want to host 'superstars' they theater is going to have to be cleaned up and spit shined, at a minimum.

You know we have discussed this before, it is ashame that the owner's of this property have no respect for the landscape and building...it was always so beautiful at night lit up, now one of the largest places in Branson just sits empty, crying for someone to step on that stage...

I agree. Couldn't believe they have let it go like they have. I agree that no-one is going to want to perform there with the way things look!

How long has it been since it had a show? I wasn't aware that it had closed. I was hoping to see a show there, when I come to Branson.

Terry, it hasn't closed. Just in a sad state of disrepair. They had an Eagles tribute show on a regular basis last year. This year will be the third for a Christmas show called "The Christmas Music of Mannheim Steamroller". They had put a show in that was to have run from June through October of American Idol "favorites" -- folk who, obviously, didn't win. But that folded after just 2 or 3 weeks. Been a long time since anything of any consequence was there on a regular basis. Closest they've come was the Oak Ridge Boys on their few dates a month the last few years.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to take my wife to meet the Oak Ridge Boys while we are in Branson. When was the last time they were there? Does anyone know if they will be back anytime soon?

We drove by the Grand Palace 3-4 times yesterday and today. The landscaping has been taken care of. I thought the parking lot and outside areas looked very nice.
