Rankin Brothers

I am taking 10 family members to this show on July 29. I have heard it is a good show but it will be our first time. What size crowd are they drawing? Did you enjoy the show?

I don't know how the crowds are these days, but I can tell you we certainly enjoyed their show.
More info in my review from a few months ago.

I saw it in June and will see it again next week. It's the only CD I bought this time. They actually sound like many of the original singers of songs. The Welk Theatre is huge and sucks up a lot of people so it's really hard to tell how big the audience was. I would imagine a couple of hundred.

We were at the Rankin Bro. show last week, and there was around 300 or so there. We liked the Rankin Bros. and think that they are very talented. I personally think that a smaller theatre would be better for them just starting out in Branson. JMO.

We saw their show in April and really enjoyed it. The promoter certainly recognized their talent to have booked them at the Welk, and as word spreads they'll, hopefully, be packin' em in in the future. I know we have recommended the show to a number of people who are headed to Branson.

If this is the same group, The Rankins that performed a concert at the Hughes Bros theater a few years ago .. (and I think it is)... They are awesome!

We did see the Rankins as they were the opening act for the
Osmonds' Thank you Concert..

We will definitely have to get down there and catch their show at the Welk Theater...

Carol, you are right! I was talking with both of the Rankin Brothers after their show the other night and told them I had enjoyed them that night they opened for the Osmonds and always wondered what had happened to them. They are even better than they were that night! Fun show -- you will enjoy it!

Both brothers have exceptional talent. They grab your attention, and emotions, whether singing individually or together. Fabulous harmony. The whole show production is top notch. Great band and backup vocals. The three ladies singing backup could each star in their own show. When they sing together it's just three times as beautiful, and powerful. Musicianship all across the stage is outstanding. We visited with the cast after the show. You won't find a classier, nicer, or friendlier, group of people anywhere.

Than you for these comments about the Rankin Brothers.
We've been told about them and their exceptional talents.
Hopefully we can see them in the Fall.

from the former drummer of "The Rankin Brothers"

I am very happy to see that my best friends and former bandmates are being very well received in Branson. They deserve it. Mark and Matt have been trying to play their music in a place like Branson since I have known them. That is a long time (18 years). They have finally gotten their wish, and to see them being well received brings tears to my eyes. This truely is their dream come true and I know that that is seen in their show.

The only time I have been to Branson was when we opened up for The Osmonds at The Hughes Brothers Theatre a few years ago. (The Osmonds Thank You Concert) I had the pleasure of meeting Meril and Wayne Osmond and was moved by Wayne's testimony of his succesful defeat of cancer. Wayne is one of the funniest people I have ever met. The Hughes Brothers were so incredibly kind to us and welcomed us as brothers in their theatre. They took care of the ticket sales and all other things that can be tedious in a show. This is why Branson is what it is.

Please see the show and ask Matt to sing "Ebb Tide". That is my favorite. "unchained melody" is pretty good too.

and that is just my opinion.
