Glad to hear you are going to see the Baldknobbers in August Karo. Gene Done is still singing there. We will be seeing them then end of July again. The Baldknobbers and Presleys. Can hardly wait to see them both again. Will also see Grand Jubilee and one more haven't made a descision yet who that will be. Too many choices.

We saw both of these shows last week. Presleys are excellent as always. Second time we have seen their show this year. We will be seeing them again in July.

The Baldknobbers were good as well. The comedy of Stub and Hargas has to be right up there with Brother Cecil Watkins at Pierce Arrow. I was in tears. I haven't seen Hargas all that much, but he had me rolling on the floor. Brilliant! Loved the segment where Stub and Hargas both came out together. Doesn't get much better than that.
I would have liked to hear Gene Dove and Bob sing a bit more. They have classic Branson voices that I could listen to all day. I was surprised to see that Gene Dove didn't have as much to do with the performance as he used to. I guess they are making way for the younger Mabe boys. Understandable - Got to keep that Mabe legacy going. Great show!

It's nice to have someone discuss the Baldnobbers and Presley's. Both are great shows and deserve the space on the board. We see them each year, and have always enjoyed them. Those should be "must see" shows for any first time visitor to Branson.

What happened to Droopy Drawers Jr? Last Baldknobber show I went to was in 2006. First Christmas show without Dennis Mabe...they began a song with a video of him singing that song and I cried thru the whole thing...

Droop Jr is still there, in fact the last time we saw them he had a microphone which is new. We have really missed Dennis, but his two sons and Droop's son do a really good job.

We like the first 9 rows. You can see the facial expressions on Stub, Droop and Hargus from there. I think you miss that any further back.

We were there right after Dennis had died that April and then I went back in November and it was hard and when they dimmed the lights and that video of him singing came on I cried the whole time...also that year they had lost another member of their family...they showed him on the screen also...not sure who he was...

When we first began to go to Branson my husband has his pic made with Droopy Drawers Sr and then later on after his passing my son has his made the same way with Droopy Drawers Jr. Great memories...

I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the other family member that died that year was the son of Tim (Droop, Jr.) and Patty Mabe.

I remember them showing him on the screen and they said that they would be having Christmas without two of their own and they showed Dennis and then a very young man maybe 19 or so....I was wondering while I sat there what in the world could have happened to him...
