Our Summer Road Trip/Vacation
We will be heading out next weekend for our vacation. Currently our plans are to leave next Saturday morning and arrive in Nashville Saturday afternoon~ I hope that works out because I bought tickets for Grand Ole Opry for Saturday night
 ~leave there on Monday and head to Savannah....we plan on stopping somewhere for a couple of days in between...was going to be Myrtle Beach, but that seems like more miles than I want to add to the trip . We will end up at Palm Coast, Florida the following Saturday where we will meet up with a lot of the outlaws~~ooops~inlaws where we have all rented condos on the beach. I have ordered the trip ticket from AAA and we have been to Nashville and Savannah before, if anyone knows of any MUST SEES or stops please let me know. We have lots of open time on the spread sheet ! Just kidding, all I have for sure planned is the Grand Ole Opry~I haven't even booked hotels yet....I am messing around on Priceline for that. Oh!!! Isn't Savannah where Paula Deen has her restaurant? I would love going there!! Have a wonderful trip.

We have been to Nashville several times over the years w/ our family of 4.
1st time I ever met a drug dealer was at the Grand Ole Opry. It was a Father's Day Sunday. We were going to take a tour. DH, sometimes hard of hearing, thought he was talking to a 'parking attendant,' while looking for a parking place. Sons in the backseat and I could see, he was not wearing a parking attendant uniform, like the others at this particular location. 'Parking attendant' gave DH the 'cost of the parking place.' To which, DH replied, he thought outloud, "It is really high. Don't you have anything cheaper?" (*giggles*) Boys in the backseat and I kept telling DH to "just move on!" Finally the 'parking attendant' has figured out that we are not there for drugs and DH is highly confused. "Sorry! Have a Happy Father's Day!" were his last words to us. This is a story we have told over and over the past 10 years.

We have talked about going to savannah , hubby wants to see it........
ANd staying on the beach , near by.... What's the best beach near savannah??? Girl, your trip sounds awesome, I hope you make it back... With gas prices and all.....  Give a review on the beach when you return, with pictures... I wanna see...........Please.........

There is a Paula deans buffet in a casino in tunica mississippi....
Just opened, It was the grand, I think it's harrahs now.......

Skip the Paula Dean Restaurant. Just went in May-we arrived at 3:00 on a Tuesday afternoon and couldn't get a reservation until 7:00. I was so hungry by the time we ate you would think Iwould have loved the food...but it was fairly disappointing. Lots of other restaurants in town.

Sounds like alot of fun! I would love to go to Savannah and Myrtle Beach. Be sure and take lots of notes, and give us a full report on your return! Have fun!!!
