37 shows in 12 days...

Here I go! First some disclaimers-I always like everything that I see, there are just some different levels of what I like. Also, these are only my opinions and it's not worth that much. Finally, if you try to count my shows and it doesn't add up, I may be too embarrassed to tell you how many times I saw some shows (Platters 8 times !!)
Platters: Love them, can't get enough (obviously). Eddie Stovall can sing anything, any part, amazing. BTW, I wasn't born when they were making their hits and I am happy to say that the audience often includes a lot of 30 and 40 years olds.
Comedy Jamboree: I saw it twice. The Dr. Phil skit was especially funny.
Wade Landry and Ozark Mountain Morning: Energetic. It would be great to see this show make it. More inuendo in the jokes than most shows.
Grand Jubilee: I saw it two and a half times. New South is great. Todd Bradshaw and the band too. I don't want to start any rumors, but are any members of this show pregnant? Oh I know I'm not being tricky as there is only one female in the cast.
Clay Cooper Love it. Colt, the dancers, Matt Gumm, Trent, Johnny Lonestar, the band and Clay, of course. I have to agree with a recent review, however, that I would like to see more of Clay.
Lisa Layne Not my favorite show. It just moved slower than what I am used to. I don't think I'm a Patsy Cline fan either.
Pierce Arrow 3:00 and 8:00 I still miss the "old days", Denny, Terry, Doug Huffman...but wouldn't go to Branson and not go to this one. Just Jarrett's intermission rant and rave about "getting off of your bad attitude" is enough for me. Loved DeAndre in the 3:00 show.
Joey Riley I think it took Joey awhile to get in a groove with his own show. In the early days it was frantic and kind of painful. I haven't seen it in awhile and I was happily surprised. It's good to see Kelly and Mike dancing again.
Bill Medley and Paul Revere Love them both! This is the big ticket show that I will pay for every time I go. It's so impressive how much time they spend in the lobby after the show chatting and taking pictures with every single person who wants a piece of them.
Brett Family This was my economic stimulus tickets. I was going to save them for July when I come with my mom but they are on tour in July so I saw them twice. I haven't seen them for about 5 years and the kids are all grown up, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much more. Mike Bliss's boys are adorable and Bobby Blackburn always has something to add to a show.
Jim Stafford I've seen him a few times and it's not my favorite. His son on piano was the highlight for me.
Paul Harris In a thread before I left I said that I was disappointed that it was going to be the show where he lays on his couch. Well, it was but it wasn't. It was way funnier than last fall. I'll see it next time he's there when I am.
Strait Country Another of my least favorite shows and I did like the John Denver show so I knew that it would be no frills. First of all, there weren't many George Strait songs. Second, I was hoping to see Lori Locke and she wasn't there. The lady who was running the spotlight came down and sang a few songs. Any time Randy Plummer is in the room, at least you have to smile.
Liverpool Legends This was a new show for me. I liked it.
Rico J's Hot hits Something or Other I have seen this a few times (I think I'm the only person who has.) There were only 5 of us there. It was Nedra Culp's last appearance so that was cool. I heard a rumor that she is going to London.
Kirby Van Burch Always enjoyable. Probably the most shameless product selling and that says something in Branson! This was one of the shows that took an intermission and was only 1 1/2 hours long. That's a problem for me.
Ozark Mountain Jubilee I left at intermission and went to The Platters.
The Entertainers Could there be any more talent on one stage? I like the girl who took Jackie Brown's spot a lot. Teri ?? I can't remember. I saw her in a show at Grand Country awhile ago. Also, Joey Sneed has joined them. I remember him from years ago when he was with the Braschlers.
Bart Rockett This is one of my guilty pleasures.
Breaking Up is Hard to Do WOW! AWESOME! Can you guys help me get this show an audience? I saw it twice. The first night had two understudies in the cast and they were every bit as good as the regulars. Roxanne Ferrara is the understudy and can step in for THREE lead characters.
The Duttons Always great and the show is constantly changing and evolving.
The Rankins WOW! AWESOME! I bought a CD and listened to it all the way home. I'm not saying the back up singers aren't talented, but I really wanted to have more Rankin Brothers. This will be the first show on my next visit.
Sting Ray Anthony at Club 57 So much fun. He has different people backing him all of the time. Marvin Short is such an entertainer too. One of the Liverpool Legends joined in as did Jimmy Nicholas the nights that I was there.
That's it! That's all I can remember anyway. Tomorrow I am going to put out a "best of" list that I worked on during my ride home!

I'll try and figure a rough estimate of what I spent and if I don't pass out, I'll share it!
Before and during the show Kirby's assistants bring right to the children a "must have" $50 stuffed tiger. When they have sold all they can, they bring out a "must have" $20 stuffed tiger...then a $10 stuffed tiger...then offer to go back stage and get Kirby's signature on the next $50 tiger sold. All children "must have" landing lights to help Kirby with the final illusion of the day, too. I suppose the part for me is the price and the fact that they are using our children so shamelessly. I watched a lot of product selling, this one stands out.

The landing light thing is pretty bad I could see if they loan them or something but they have to buy to be part, hmmm, hope there not $50!
Thanks again
