Springfield Airport to Branson
Hi There,
Has anyone experienced arriving at the Springfield Airport after 11:00 pm and then trying to get to Branson? Apparently car rental windows close around 10:00. Is there a shuttle? I'm glad I have time to work on this...we're not coming to Branson tilll mid-September. Thanks, in advance, for any insights. |

I have seen the car rental places open later than 10 - I wonder if you call them, and explain your situation, if they would wait for your arrival?

If you can't get the rental car desk to stay open, try Tri-Lakes Shuttle service: http://www.trilakesshuttle.com/main.asp.

The car rentals are required by contract with the airport to be open "to the public 1/2 hour before the first aircraft arrival or departure (whichever occurs first) and 1/2 hour after the last arrival or departure (whichever occurs last).
Bottom line: they should be open for half-an-hour after your flight arrives! |

There are five major car rental companies represented at the Springfield/Branson National Airport. All close up shop by 11 PM each day of the week, with the exception of Avis & Thrifty, which close at 11:30 PM.
When you make your car rental reservation, your travel agent (if you're using one) or the car rental representative can advise you on the latest time to pick up the vehicle. If you do not wish to bother with a rental car, Tri-Lakes Shuttle is a good option as previously suggested. However, I would highly recommend a rental car for Branson.
