info on Welk resort,Quality Inn etc...

I posted awhile back asking for help with lodging for our family vacation in July, I just have a few more questions and was hoping you all could help me ...

Does anyone have an opinion(good or bad) about the Welk resort(i tried a search but didnt find any recent input on the Welk resort) I spoke with a gentleman there who was very helpful, they offer mini golf, restaurant and have the family fun house within walking distance for $75 a nite-he made it all sound so wonderful-that i was willing to let him plan our family vaca lol

The Quality Inn looks so nice-outdoor pool, decent breakfast for $73(includes rollaway) a nite

Grand Plaza has indoor pool and lots of amenties and the breakfast they offer sounds good, $90 a nite-that includes a rollaway and their 20% disc for longer says

Savannah House $60 a nite and all the extras-that these properties are known for...

Hall of fame motel
$58(2 queens) or $97 for 1 bed condo

I am leaning towards the savannah house but being a house-hold that puts everything to a vote, 1 of my children likes the welk resort, one likes the Quality Inn,the other Hall of fame motel and dh likes the grand plaza...yiyiyi go figure

so if you could stay at any of these OR have stayed could you let me know what you liked or perhaps didnt like-
we may have to do the whole draw outta the hat for lodging this yr if we cant get a majority...

Thank You all in advance for any replies

Some Questions

Is a free breakfast including in your lodging important to you?
How 'bout Location? Is that a factor?

Are you planning on seeing any of the Shows at the Welk Resort?
We enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa and the fact we could stroll to the Shows there.
Also it's a nicely landscaped area.
The mini golf is free but not very challenging...seem to remember some outdoor play equipment, too.

Honestly location isnt a huge factor-as long as we have access to a time saver route(our previous trip has only been down indian point road-we want to try Branson proper this time)
Breakfast included is what I like to call a nice bonus-I think Welk resort is the only one that doesn't include that, but they have the restaurant on site...
as far as shows at the WR I think we would play that by ear, with 3 children-as you can see with picking lodging, getting everyone to agree-isnt that simple LOL
Thank you for your response on the WR

I may confuse you a little more, but have you checked out Southern Oaks Inn? It is clean and in a great location. They have an indoor pool and hot tub and an outdoor pool. If you can get a room by the indoor pool it is great. They have a good breakfast with biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, toast, and cinnamon rolls. It is just off the strip across the street from Shoji Tabuccis' theater. You can get an internet rate in for summer for $62.95. Their website is www.southernoaksinn.com Good Luck on your decision.

We stayed at the Grand Plaza in March (free). The rooms are super small! The beds are cramed together. The breakfast was nice, but I don't think we would stay there again. There are cheaper hotels with bigger rooms which is important to us because we have 4 kids.

The Quality Inn on 76 has a great hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy as well as the usual breads, cereals, muffins etc. Location is pretty good as well. Access to Green Mountain Dr. is just North of the entrance and easy to get to.

The Hall of Fame had nice clean rooms last time I was there (2006). Stayed in a double queen with the kids and it worked well for us. Only complaint on that was we ended up in the building down the hill and the walk to breakfast was pretty steep, but manageable. They only had biscuits and gravy as a hot item and the usual complimentary breakfast items.

You might check out the Green Mountain Inn on Green Mountain Drive if you don't want to be on the strip. It is within walking distance to Pirates Cove golf.
