Large Family Outing

We're looking at putting together a large family get-together with our family members coming from Texas, Oregon, Colorado and Kansas City for a week probably in late July or early August. We're considering getting cabins for about 16 people - I know we may have to get about four units to house everyone. What are some of the best — not cheap & nasty, but economical places you know of for a group like this?
Thanks

Try Tribesman Resort on Indian Point. They have several large units with lots of bedrooms. I'd book fast with a large group - the bigger units go quickly. Click here to go to their web site.

We'll be at Tribesman the 3rd week of July. The big units are already taken for that week, though. You might have better luck booking a big unit (or 2 or 3) in August.

When in August do you plan to go? Look at www.memorylanerentals.com and talk to my SIL Gussie about Lookout Lodge (5 bed/4 bath, sleeps 18, hot tub, pool, lake view) or The Clementine (6 bed/4 bath, sleeps 18, pool).

Or talk to my dad, Dave, about one of his homes (ranging from 5 to 7 bedrooms) at www.bransonvacationhouses.com.

And my brother Michael has a new LAKEFRONT home (6 bed/ 3 bath, sleeps 20) that he just started taking reservations for, and you can see it at http://mybransonvacationhome.com/.

You might try Trout Hollow over in Point Lookout. My boss stayed there abouit 4 years ago and he still says he wouldn't mind staying there again. Or you might try Cooper Creek Resort. I know they have 2 3-bedroom/2bath condo units and several other smaller cabins. Very nice, clean and reasonable.

The cottage resort (on Indian Point) can combine cabins/rooms to accomodate the whole clan. We stayed there last fall and it was great. www.cottageresort.us I think they said they could combine them to make it a cabin for 18 or 20. (lots of bedrooms and bathrooms!)
