Breakfast?

Which motels have the best breakfast? I see that most say they have a free breakfast. Which ones actually have something besides doughnuts and coffee?

Seven Gables had biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruits, etc. when we stayed there. They are part of Branson2for1, so you can get a room for 2 nights for $70.

We've stayed at Whispering Hills and Branson's Best in the last 2 months. Both had very good hot breakfast. Biscuits, gravy, waffles, scrambled eggs,
cold cereals. And in the evening, they serve hot cobbler and ice cream.

Add Savannah House with Whispering Hills and Branson's Best. There's also cookies at night, good, warm cookies. At breakfast there's also doughnuts, toast, canned fruit and the waffles are make your own.
I think most hotels/motels have at least a bit more than just coffee and doughnuts. Then some have a very good extended breakfast.

Green Mountain Inn also has the make your own waffles, cereals, toast, etc. What I didn't like is that you can't take your breakfast back to your room.

Can you take the juice & coffee back to the room? That is all we ever use at the motel breakfast bar - we always go out for the meal but like coffee or juice while we are getting ready.

Grand Plaza last year had a great breakfast.... it was in a restaurant setting, plenty of room to move around, didn't have to share a table with some stranger.... several hot breakfast items

Hampton Inn West also has a really good breakfast, they had the standard stuff, ceral, bagels, donut's plus a different hot item each morning.

Thanks for the answer. This is the first year we will be staying at Green Mountain Inn. I knew we could at the Duttons and the other places we stayed.

Thanks for the info. We stayed out on Indian Point for 17 years and really liked that place but then they sold and we decided to try in town since we don't do SDC and we ended up at the Duttons. But their prices went so high last year that we decided to try Green Mountain Inn since they are rated so high on this board. So we made our reservations last year before we left for home but did not get to meet Sandy.
