Taking 5 yr old fishing

We will be staying on Branson the third week of June. My daughter wants to go fishing. Any great spots where we could catch something and not have to be out on a boat. thanks in advance.

I have a 3.5 year old son. Last summer, when he was 2.5 he caught his first fish at Still Waters! The fishing from the shore was pretty good for the little guy, we caught at least a dozen green sunfish before we called it good.

Are you going to fish Taneycomo or Table Rock?
Taneycomo- try the Cooper Creek ramp. It is where they release trout into Taneycomo and a lot of times, they will just hang out by the dock.
Another spot is near the landing, there are a couple of public docks that you can fish off.
For both spots use some power bait or nightcrawlers.

Table Rock, I cant really help much except try the area across from Moonshine Beach, it is the observation area, you can walk down the path and fish from there.

Thanks for the relpys

If someone is willing to give me an update on fishing with m 5 year old. We are heading to Branson area on Sunday and are trying to decide if we should talk the poles with all the water issues. Is it still possible to fish from the shore right now? We were going to check out a couple of spots as noted in the above posts. Thanks for giving any feedback. KSK
