Looking for a long term site for 38 foot 5th wheel camper
I'm looking for a site to leave my newly purchased 38 foot 5th wheel camper. I would like to leave it year round. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I figured someone here could stir me in the right direction. I'm checking into mobile home parks, and RV parks, so far the mobile home parks seem to be alot cheaper per month, but still more than I want to pay, so I'm still looking, thanks for the help in advance.

You can leave it at my house...of course, I'd have to take it out for "quality checks", every so often.

You might want to check into somewhere like Treasure Lake Resort over on Shepherd of the Hills. They are a membership place (much like a time share) but made for RV's like yours. Don't know anything about them, but this might be what you are looking for.

Seems like I read one time that Compton Ridge Campground did this or maybe used to?

Sorry that I can't provide you with the name of the 'campground', but last summer we visited with some people at SDC who told us of the place where they leave their 5th wheel parked. It is a 'membership' place, and is located beyond Silver Dollar City, towards Branson West. Not Holiday Hills in Branson!! We weren't interested in joining a 'membership' at the time, so didn't write down the details, but the price seemed to be fair/reasonable, the best I remember. Perhaps someone reading this will know of the place and give more details! I"ll do some 'investigatin' and see if I can 'come up with a name'!

Thanks, I'll start checking into these. I'm so excited about the possiblity of having my own place (so to speak) in Branson. We'll be able to drive up whenever we want and not have to worry about finding a place to stay(how cool is that). This was my husband's ideal, which is really shocking, we're putting a pool in and he had just got through telling me that the kids and I would have to not be on the go so much this summer, then he comes up with this ideal. Wonders never cease, I guess he figures I'll go just as much as always and this will save money on the lodging and it'll keep me happy.
P.S. Mellie, we could probably work something out. |

Have you checked into joining "Good Sam Club"? Participating member parks give a 10% discount if you're a member of Good Sam. Don't know if that would apply to long-term parking or not, but that savings could add up! Just another thot

No, I haven't looked at joining, I'll check on that too, thanks. So far Compton Ridge is the best deal I've found, they will store it, for a monthly fee, which is very reasonable, and set it up when we want to camp and then put it back in storage. I didn't even realize that was an option. That way I won't have any bills(electric) to pay during the time I'm not using it, I couldn't believe that they set it up for you and have it ready to use, and I visited the website also and it looks like a very nice place, with lots of things for the kids to do right there onsite. Thanks for the info.
