Hot Springs

Yesterday we headed down to Hot Springs to take the kids to Magic Springs. We got season passes when we were there it will pay for itself in the long run. But they are offering free sunscreen, Pepsi products thoughtout the park all season long... I think that the rapids are free also. But just the cokes being free saves money because you spend a lot just on drinks when you are at a place like this. The kids had a blast my 4 year old can't wait until we got back... The weather was perfect and it wasn't very crowded my kind of day...

They started the free pepsi and sunscreen last year. I haven't bought our season passes yet. I need to get them bought. I usually just buy one for my girl because the place she attends in the summer go on Wed. I am going to buy me a gold card. Parking prices are ridiculous there! Isn't it 8 or p without a gold pass? Yeah, the water park is included in with your price. That part is not opened yet, is it???

We didn't go last year and didn't know until this year about the free soft drinks. Parking is 9 dollars without a Gold Pass. My husband got a gold pass for the free parking and the coupon book. The water park was opened Saturday and some crazy people in the water don't you know they were cold...

We have thought about going here, is the water park like White Water in Branson, same size? as nice?

Maybe E's mom could answer that one. I have never set foot in White Water. I have just seen it from the road. NO WAY would you get me on those slides!!!! My girl likes them.

I havent been to Magic Springs since the late 80's. I would to take the kids there sometime....maybe next year.

To me it looks pretty much the same with the exception of a few rides and the water park. They have well known singers in the summer, but I haven't ever attended them. My girl loves going there, but I am not all that crazy about it.

I used to go to Magic Springs in the 80s almost every weekend. It reminded me of a small "Silver Dollar City".

I took Girlfriend and the 4 kids there in 2000 and the place was horrible. The rides mostly "state fair" quality rides. I know they added a few more rollercoasters since then and I heard they have fixed the place up more. There were lots of empty buildings down the hill by the "log ride". They used to be craft and food shops but a lot or most were closed.

The kids enjoyed the rides but as I said, most were the same ones they rode at the county and state fair.

The wave pool was so crowded that the kids were gettin pushed down and hurt. I finally got everybody out of the wave pool over to another water area that was better for them.

After the bad experience at the "water park" side of Magic Springs, we have never gone back. We go to Wild River County in Little Rock for the water park and went to Silver Dollar City for the rides.
