Sometimes all you need is a clean room with a comfy bed, decent bathroom, and a TV. There are several motels in Branson where you can get a room for $39.95 or less a night -- Stonewall Jackson, Caprice, Economy Inn, Dollar Saver, Stonybrook, Good Shepherd, Walnut Lane, etc. Which ones are the best ones in this price range?

I have not stayed at any of the ones you mentioned. However, we have rented through www.branson2for1tickets.com and they have several places that are 2 nights for $70 (tax included). We have stayed at Peach Tree Inn, would stay there again.

Haven't stayed at any that you have mentioned but last week we stayed at Classic Motor Inn for 35.99 with a coupon we printed off from the computer. It is a very clean place to stay , nice continental breakfast, we would stay there again. We use to stay at Boxcar Willies and then Duttons bought it and we use to stay there all the time. But I think new management took over and they have really raised their prices, probably won't be staying there anymore.

The niicest most helpful people are at The Windsor Inn, Greenbriar Inn, owned by same people.. Reasonable rates, I can't quote this season.
I will tell you for what you get, you will not get more for your dollar, than at the Wndsor Inn or the Greenbriar Inn Two Pools, Hot Tub, can be used by anyone staying at either motel.. Continental Breakfast.. Car trouble, broke down, James, one of the people that makes the motels go, can usually help.. he loves to work on cars. If it is not any thing major, he can get you back on the road with out interupting your vacation... I have stayed with these people for over 20 yrs. I will stay for 20 plus more if I am still around... These people are like family to me. They just welcome you to be part of The Windsor Inn---Greenbriar Inn family... You can contact me by e-mail at davisjkdd@cox.net I will verify everythingIv'e written here... 2

I found the Good Shepard last year on the 4th of July. I came into town JUST to see shows and was going to drive home but it started raining real hard so I decided to stay in town. I was down at the freeway/76 area and saw the motel and went in. The rate was $29.99 or $30.99 for 1 person.
The rooms were clean. Everything worked fine. The bathroom was clean. They had an extra blanket in the dresser. I like to sleep in a cool room with a blanket over my legs and they had one. I went back about 4 or 5 times and stayed in different rooms. I NEVER had a bad experience there. And when I spend the night, I will be staying there. I have stayed at a lot of hotels in town in my travels. I find then ALL to be the same. A Bed and a Bathroom. I don't ask anything except for it to be clean and quiet. The Good Shepard has always been that. It is also bigger than it looks. There are buildings behind the pool and the front building so it isn't as small as it looks. |

According to GreenMtnBranson in another thread, Country Bunkhouse and DollarSaver are both $27 and up a night.
I've stayed at Stonybrook before; it's on 265 and very close to SDC. Small but clean rooms, comfortable beds, ceiling fans, plenty of towels, 1 or 2 chairs but no table, dated decor, cable TV, coffee in the office but no breakfast -- $29.95 and up a night. Anyone else care to comment on some of the other motels in Branson that are good places to stay for $39.95 or less a night? |
