Happy Birthday to Harold Bell Wright - May 4th

I read that Harold Bell Wright "almost single handedly started Tourism in Taney county MO"
His novels and Hollywood screenplays led many to discover the Ozarks".

Happy Birthday!

by cartoonist John Logan.

I really like the Harold Bell Wright Museum in the World's Largest Toy Museum.
Also there's alot of interesting things at Shepherd of the Hills Park and at The Ralph Foster Museum at College of the Ozarks.

The girls are clad in faded cotton prairie dresses, hair in "pigtails" that have become mussed up during their day of play down @ the "crick". The hems of their dresses are damp & the road dust is sticking to them.

The boys are wearing very faded homemade denim pants, held up with one suspender across their summer tanned skin.....shirts are tied around their waists, 'cause it's too hot to wear a shirt, Maw!............
