American Bandstand

My wife and I want to see a really good 50's show and know that some of them are travelling when we are there in June. What about the Dick Clark American Bandstand show? I think someone recommended the 2 oclock show over the 8 oclock show. Any thoughts?

I haven't seen the 2 o'clock show yet -- hoping to soon. But I can't say enough good about Paul Revere and the Raiders and Bill Medley!!! Of the two evening shows, that one is far and away my favorite! Paul Revere & The Raiders are just plain fun and Bill Medley just keeps the hits coming in that rich voice of his!! WOW!!!

I've not seen the 2:00 show, either...but, I can't IMAGINE anyone recommending the 2:00 show over the 8:00 show. I'm sure both are terrific, but
Paul Revere/Bill Medley (8:00) is my favorite show, in Branson.

I highly recommend the "2 O Clock ROCKS" show with the Comets, David Somerville and McKenna Medley. To watch the Comets play that long, that good and do what they do on stage at their age, is something to see.
And lets not forget, these guys started Rock N Roll!

Do yourself a favor & go see both shows @ DC Bandstand Theater. I've seen them both many times & they just get better & better.......

Also, go to the "50's @ the Hop" show @ Branson Meadows. They put out a lot of good 50's music!!!

And, imo, consider The Platters a.m. show @ the Starlite Theater. Excellent music, too.

Do you remember what the Original Stars cost is? I don't find it on their site. We have considered that and 50's at the Hop.

If you Beatles fans, check out the "Liverpool Legends."
The show is simply outstanding----Which reminds me, I owe them a review

Tickets are right around $50 for the evening shows at AB Theatre.

Wink American Bandstand

I have seen both of them and they are both wonderful. If you can afford it and have the time, I highly recommend both. You will not be disaappointed with these two choices. Despite the ages of the performers at the two o'clock show, they are amazing. If you grew up in the 50's and 60's you do not want to miss those American Bandstand shows

I would recommend The Rankin Brothers show. They put on a spectacular show! They sing songs from the 50's to the 90's including Neil Diamond, The Righteous Brothers, The Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Eric Clapton and many more! If you are looking for a show that will take you back in time, this is definitely one you will not want to miss!
