Spinning Wheel Inn ?

Has anyone stayed at the Spinning Wheel Inn lately? It looks really nice on their website, and I remember driving by it, but have never stopped and actually LOOKED at the rooms. Is it nice? What is it comparible to? TIA.

Probably a good choice

We've never stayed at the Spinning Wheel Inn but have stayed at Twelve Oaks Inn, Days Inn, Mountain Music Inn, and Boxcar Willie II Hotel which are all nearby. It is in a quiet area just off the strip and convenient to everything. Unless things have changed, they are owned by the same people that own Twelve Oaks. You can expect a clean room, a modest continental breakfast, and a small outdoor pool. There is also a playground between the Spinning Wheel Inn and Twelve Oaks that is nice for the kids. It is probably comparable to a Super 8 in terms of its rooms and amenities. They usually have $5 coupons on their website and fairly reasonable rates.

We've stayed there before, nothing fancy, nothing extra, just comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms. VERY reasonable prices. As the previous poster mentioned, at the time that we stayed there, it was a sister hotel of Twelve Oaks Inn. The rooms at Spinning Wheel seemed just a little newer, but about the same size. I would compare them to the Dutton Inn, if you've ever stayed there. (Although, the Dutton Inn has the most comfortable beds that I've slept on in Branson..)

We have stayed at the Dutton Inn. Thanks. That gives me a good idea.

I have been staying there since they opened.....back in the early 90's. Wonderful people running the place, always clean, very clean pool, and its nice to be back off the strip. Highly recommended!

We have stayed there at Spinning Wheel 10 times, 9 years in a row. It is our favorite place. It used to not be very filled up, but I think alot of people are finding out about it and it is getting more busy. It is great, because it is off the strip, and we have even walked to the Plantation Rest. and the Dollar Store. It has quick and easy access to the Green Route ( I think) anyway, one of the side routes, so we avoid the strip on most days.

Spinning Wheel and 12 Oaks

Both are super clean and you feel very safe.
They're owned/managed by very nice people.
We've stayed in both of them for the last 10-12 years.
Every so often we discuss staying some place else, and then wonder WHY when we are always so comfortable with them.

Another member of this board recommended Spinning Wheel Inn to us last year and we stayed there 3 times. We were very happy with our stays at SW. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. There is plenty of parking and the parking lot and the playground/picnic area between Spinning Wheel and Twelve Oaks is kept very clean also. We didn't use the pool but the pool area looked well kept too.
