Flooding around Duck Harbor Resort

I heard about major flooding in the area and wondered if any of Duck Harbor was flooded? We are supposed to be staying there the 2nd week of May.

I didn't drive down to Duck Harbor when we drove through RockAway, but know that some of the area did take on water, while other business' on the waterfront were high enough that it wasn't an issue for them.

I checked their website - no mention of water, and I tried calling them, and got an answering machine. The water level has dropped in the area, since the spillways are closed now, so I think you will be fine, but I'd call before you head this direction just to be sure. (That said we're suppose to get more rain tonight... )

Duck Harbor sits above the area and not sure if any of their cabins had problems, but You can always call them, or call the folks at Rainbow Haven (they did flood the bottom floors of their's, but they would be able to tell you if Duck Harbor had any trouble. Also - call Pyramid Spirits in Rockaway at 417-561-5566. Carl and Katie from Duck Harbor own it as well. They would be able to tell you. I think Carl works there most of the time.

I will give them a call there. I tried Duck Harbor also and received no answer.

Thanks for the help!

Just talked to the wonderful people at Duck harbor and she said they were fine. Water had got to the drive way last month and unless they major rain all would be fine.

WOW - that is great news for them. I figured you might be able to reach them either at the house or store. Thanks fori posting. I was concerned about them. Carl and Katie have become very good friends over the years.
