CABIN/CONDO near the lake

We are looking for a new place to stay this year. Our friends are bringing their pontoon boat and already have a house on the lake. We are looking for a nice (and super cheap) condo or cabin near or on the lake.

We are not picky, but we need a room that 6 people can fit into!!

Thanks!

Mel

If you want it to be near your friends, we need to know where they are located - there is a lot of lake front property - and there is more than one body of water in the area. See if you can find out where their property is, and we will go from there.

........or if it doesn't matter, my first suggestion would be to check out www.huntersfriendresort.com

Sorry I should have clarified it before.

We are looking for SDC area or West....

Our friends are going to be in that area.

We stayed at the Treehouse condominiums on Indian Point road. They were really nice. It's a small walk down to the actual lake but they could easily accomodate 6. Their website shows pictures and cost.

I second that you should check out Hunter's Friend Resort.

Here's a link to several lodging areas on Indian Point Road. Most, if not all, have links to their individual websites. While this isn't all that's on Indian Point, it may give you a start.

I personally have stayed at Hunter's Friend in a condo and it was beautiful. www.huntersfriendresort.com Very well decorated and roomy. It had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. I have also stayed at Stillwaters, twice. www.stillwatersresort.com Once in a motel room and recently in a 1 bedroom condo. They both were nice, but it is a much bigger resort, which is a plus or not depending on what you like.

I don't think either of those are listed on the first link above. I think we looked at Indian Trails once and liked it, but we had already decided on Stillwaters. You can always do searches on the forum for reviews of ones you narrow your decision on.....

Have a fun trip, no matter where you stay!

Hunter's Friend, The Tribesman, and Indian Trails are all ones we have stayed in and really liked.

Other options

You might also check into www.bradfordonthelake.com, www.vrbo.com, and www.vacationrentals.com

There are many condos or lake units listed under Branson or Branson West.
