Is SDC still o.k. with visitors bringing some food/drink items into the park? We are planning on bringing our water bottles, refilling them, using the kool-aid packets etc..... I'm still going to buy some food items at SDC but every once in a while a package of peanut butter/crackers will satisfy me instead of having to buy a $2.50 box of popcorn.

From what I've read recently, you can bring in food and drinks.

You will need snacks waiting in food lines--take them.

We were there on opening day, and it was a fiasco with the huge crowd and the road/parking lot construction/destruction. I didn't notice any change of policy on food/drinks. We took our snacks and drinks for the kids as always which turned out to be a lifesaver. We waited until 2:30 to eat to try to let the lines die down some. It took us approximately 45 minutes to get into the Mine Restaurant to eat. Our kids munched on snacks while we waited. This is a big plus for families with children. Having this policy along with free parking and under 4 free makes Silver Dollar City stand out in the theme park world as a true family-oriented attraction.

When we were there during Spring Break Days, we took juice & water in for us & the kids with no problems. Don't see why they'd change it midseason. Have a good trip!
