Hotel Next Door to Sight and Sound Theater - -

The Old Expressway Inn

Does anyone know how they are going to use this property? When the Expressway Inn closed, we were told that the Sight and Sound group was going to use it. Now that time is near for Sight and Sound Theater to open, I'm wondering if any announcements have been made as to what the plans are for this hotel property. Before the Expressway was closed, it was our choice of hotels in Branson, always stayed there.

If that's the motel right next to the theater, I was told that they are using it for their offices. I saw employees going back and forth from there, so I figure that was right.

Yes, it's next door to Sight and Sound. But what a waste of space if that's what they are using it for If I remember correctly, there are 3 large buildings in the complex --- room for lots of offices

The former Expressway Inn is being used by Sight and Sound employees and contractors. There are several from PA who are staying there while they are working on this building and training new employees. Some are relocating to this area and are living there while in transition. I don't know the future plans for certain but suspect it may be reopened to the public at a later date.

See, that's why you never listen to people who are just standing around. I believed them, when they said they were offices. I should've known that was alot of offices.

yeah...we shouldn't listen to people but we do! One of the ladies at the church told me today she was at McDonalds this morning and some people were talking about what was going on at Tri Lakes Center today....(Jubilee Conference, TLC seats about 2300) some of them said, "They had almost 4000 there and they dismiss at noon so all the restaurants will be full."........the conference was sold out..but 4000?? NOT. I suspect there were 2000 in todays crowd....most of them left town when the conference ended and didn't even head to the restaurants here in Branson!!

Maybe SOME of the space IS being used as offices, Mellie. There is certainly room for offices AND living quarters!
