How is Branson right now????

Is Branson landing still under water and are any of the shops being affected? Also, how is traffic in and out of SDC. I am planning on bringing the kids down next weekend and wanted to know if it was worth it, or more of a headache and should wait a few weeks?

Is everything up and running smoothly?

Thanks in advance..

We just left there a couple days ago. Don't know about the landing now, but it never went completely under water, just the fountain area. Everything else is up and running, as far as we saw. I don't think you will have any problems with high water, unless you were planning on camping near the lake areas or downtown camp grounds. The motels and restaurants and shows were all running as usual.

We were there Friday through Tuesday. Was easy to get in and out of SDC on Saturday and Sunday but the attendance was affected by the cold weather that weekend. The landing is open -- not sure if the fountain is working again. It was being cleaned out after the flooding. Go to Branson!

Unless you're planning to camp along the waters edge, you won't ever notice the flooding. Unlike Kansas, Branson isn't on flat land, and basically the water was all w/in the confines of the streams and lakes, it did over fill it's normal banks, and cause some damage to some homes/businesses that were/are on the lake/rivers edges, but didn't flood HWY 76 or SDC.

Go and have a great time!
