Best Place to Eat at the Landing?
No seafood though...anything else would be okay. Not sure if we would be eating lunch or dinner there. Recommendations?
Thanks! |

Restaurants at The Landing:
Waxy O'Shea's and Bar Louie are bars that also serve food. Ernie Bigg's Piano Bar serves appetizers (I believe). There's a Charlie's Subs, a Subway, and Chicago Gyros & Pizza, that are smaller sandwich shops. There are lots of candy shops, ice-cream shops, and popcorn and pretzel shops...there's even a funnel-cake kiosk. God only knows what's going in where The Italian Wedding/Mama Milano's was supposed to be...and when it will happen.

We've only eaten at 2 restaurants at the Landing - Joe's Crab Shack and Famous Daves Bar B Que. Very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere at both places. Prices are mid-range, not expensive and Famous Dave's gives very generous servings
I'm sure we'll eat at both places again. And are anxious to try Texas Land and Cattle. |

We've tried 3 Landing restaurants. Garfields was good, but service was slow. And your basic Applebee's type of menu, nothing special. Enjoyed Famous Dave's a lot. Cantina Laredo is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I'd drive 5 hours just to eat there again!

Since you don't like fish,
Cantina gets so many raves, I would have to give them a try...... And the new Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse sounds yummy as well.......

While I really like Cantina Laredo, don't discount White River Fish Co. just because you don't like fish! They have great burgers and good steak on the menu also.

I edited my above post. Texas Land & Cattle won't be opening until Monday, April 21'st. With the flooding and the propane being off for five days, they couldn't get the kitchen staff trained (they couldn't cook), so they pushed-back the opening to the 21'st. Didn't want anyone to head out there this weekend, and find it closed.

As far as Cantina Laredo, I usually order the enchiladas, but there isn't anything I've tried there, that isn't good. The guacamole is wonderful...I second that motion.
