Farmers' Markets?

Hello out there in cyberspace! I need some help. I'll be in the Branson area the first week in May, 2008. I love going to farmers' markets, and am trying to find out if any are operating locally at that time. I'd greatly appreciate any scoop you can give me as to exact locations, hours of operation, etc.

Kimberling City has one Fridays from about 9AM til ??? Best to be there in the AM. It is at the shopping center parking lot. ( Hwy 13 about 1/2 mile north of the bridge)
It has not started yet due to weather, so you may want to ask again in a few weeks to see what is happening.

Didn't someone post, last year, that the city of Branson was going to have a farmer's market, at the Landing?

Whatever happened with that?

The Historic Downtown businesses are planning a farmers market. It will just be a matter of time. They will have it on the public parking lot across from City Hall on Sat. morning. Opening date will depend on the crops. They are shooting for May. The organizers have worked hard and have a good plan.

City Hall is located on South Business Highway 65. It's across the street, from the Post Office. If you're coming down Highway 76, toward The Landing, turn right on the street where the Clock Shop is. I think it says "Veterans Blvd"...is that right?

City Hall will be about two blocks down, on the right hand side of the road.

The market opened today (May 2) with only a couple of vendors. It is a bit early for fruit and veggies, but the plant stand is back featuring many high quality locally grown plants. The lady is very knowledgeable about what grows and what doesn't. A very good place for your outdoor plants.
A booth featuring lots of pies and other homebaked goodies is also open. Consumed quite a lot of this last year and it was very good.
