REVIEW: Owen's Theatre - Downtown Owens Theatre

My wife is a real Elvis fan. During the week we were in Branson we saw four different Elvis tributes. We saw both Elvis shows at the Owens Theatre. As we entered and noticed the small and intimate atmosphere, our expectations were not too high. However, we were amazed at the enthusiasm and talent of Dave Ehlert. He is a very good entertainer and has a wonderful voice. My wife liked the Elvis part but I liked the Roy Orbison songs best. I especially like Lallie Bridges who played the keyboard and sang several songs. She has a strong stage presence and sings like an angel. With a good agent and the right connections she could have her own show. She is beautiful and has a warmth that projects to the audience.

I agree that Dave Ehlert is an exceptional talent as an actor, singer, and show producer. My personal favorites were Roy Orbison and Neil Diamond. My favorite show at the Owen's Theatre is Mark Twain. Very educational yet you'll laugh till you sides hurt. I am looking forward to seeing the new Loretta Lynn show.

Thumbs down

I saw him last June doing the "Superstars" and thought it was horrible -- left after about 30 minutes. The Owens should be demolished.

I saw the show abt. 3 years ago, & did not care for it at all. Very poor "quality"

The theater its self was in very poor shape, perhaps its been renovated since I was there......I won't be going back........

I don't know how they keep the doors open....jmo.....

Yes sir, ditto on that Mark Twain presentaion. Saw it about three years ago, I believe they called it "The Twain Ride" then. The theater isn't much to shout about, but the Mark Twain show was outstanding. Wanting to go once again here soon if I can ever get free of this "yoke" (house building).
