Fire at Outback Steakhouse

Per the Spfld paper, the Outback Steakhouse had a fire yesterday and it is closed for an undetermined amount of time:

I had heard something about that, but didn't know the entire story. Thanks for posting it.

Yup very sad.
Someone did mention this yesterday in the 'review' of the restaurant.
Nothing like bad luck at the beginning of the season.
Hope they are back in business asap.

It doesn't sound like it will be open any time real soon with all that smoke damage.

I almost hate to say it...don't want to make false reports...IT'S JUST A PERSONAL THEORY...I'll bet someone was sneaking a smoke in the store room. I saw a Pizza Hut burnt to the ground, 'cause someone was sneaking a smoke in the attic. I say, "Just let these people smoke outside the back door, and things like that won't happen"!

Portably will not be opening soon, and will either undergo extensive cleaning or more likely be torn down and rebuilt.

We will see, there was lots of water and smoke damage, the floor has multiple holes and is very much sagging. They may keep the outside shell but the inside will be completely redone.

You could be right , But I've seen worse. Only time and the Insurance company will tell.

If they need to rebuild, then I am sure that the Woods family will do so and bring back the Outback even better than it was before. Branson has strong restaurant families who always bounce back from loss. For example, the loss of the Fall Creek Steakhouse to fire last year gave way to the construction and opening of an even larger and nicer restaurant just a few weeks ago.
