Question Gas Discount?

DH is looking at the Branson Tourism Center's gas discount. I know this has been discussed on here before but it will take a lot of searching to find it. So could any who know the pros and cons about this please help?

We just used this a couple of weeks ago. All you have to do it print the coupon off of the website and take it to the Branson Tourism Center and then they will give you a card to give at the gas station.

From reading the info regarding the gas coupon, it sounds like you need to purchase tickets or lodging from them and as a thank you they will give you the gas coupon. We used the coupon one year with no problem and we had also purchased tickets for a show through them.

I called a couple of weeks ago and inquired about the gas coupon, you do
have to purchase tickets through them in order to get the gas coupon.....there was a different one couple of years ago that did not require the purchase of tickets.

That is correct you have to purchase tickets or lodging through them but you can also save money on show tickets by going them them.

You could save .12 to .20 cents a gallon by filling up in Springfield or Ozark before you get to Branson. I paid 3.05 in Ozark today I believe gas on average in Branson right now is over 3.22.

Thanks everyone. We looked and looked and it was looking to us like you did have to be a customer to use the coupon.

BS - I have passed on the other gas options to DH. Thanks for that too!...DH just came across a site Missourigasprices.com and looking at the area.

Sure appreciate the help. Won't be long now. Couple of weeks.

Our (church) town show choir is headed down this Thurs. and will perform at Tri-Lakes. One of our church ladies that will go with the group this time has never been to Branson. They will go to Dixie Stampede. She has knee issues and I said there is probably help there. Also, she needs to be on up away from the dust too.

Alot of those gas price web sites have not been updated for quite some time. I can almost assure you that the price he saw is wrong. Give them a ringy dingy and ask the current rate.

The motortrend site said it was last updated 4/5/08 at 11:16 pm. Is this just a way to get you there?

I have been known to be wrong, but it sounds too good to be true. Heck I didn't even know there was a Texaco station in Branson, but you can bet the next time I'm in town I'm gonna check it out. That station would be just east of Hwy. 76 at Treasure lake st. (I think) just north of cracker barrell.

We remember a gas station over the edge down by Celebration City. Would that be it? Not good at directions the way 76 squirels around.

I would think that place would be the most popular place in town if it was true. I find it hard to believe too. There would be a thread on here just for it

Plug that address into google earth. Then you can see exactly where it is. I sure don't remember that being a Texaco station though. If that price is correct that station will be hotter than any show in town.

Well, if I see it right on google, it's near IMAX complex. I know that sometimes google gets you to a drive/extrance that isn't always close to the actual place, so back in? Weird!

If I google the Sonic it puts it way back in on Falls Parkway, not on 165.

There is definately a gas station at that location. I have bought gas there, but not recently.
