more on the cheap places to eat
When I posted the last post, I really meant I would love to have suggestions of specific reasonible places to eat. I think I have all of the tactics down--we always drink water only, dont eat out all 3 meals, share, take snacks and drinks, use coupons, etc etc. I am a tightwad--these are for the most part practices we have down pat! But what specific resturant do you get the most bang for your buck?
I have read several things about Luigi's Pizza--where is that at? Do they have a buffet? And some commented on the large portions at Danas BBQ--where is that? I am going to try to compile a list for next trip so that I can be prepared--part of the problem is it is not too convient to zip across town and eat here or there, so I want to know of these places and locations and not have to eat where ever we are close to.

Luigi's pizza - next to KMart on 248, and another on 165 near the Welk Resort. LUNCH is a great deal - dinner is a good deal too IF you can take the special and not pick from the menu.
Danna's BBQ is on 165 past Stone Hill Winery, on down in the valley on the right - it doesn't look like much, but the serviings are HUGE. There is at least one other Danna's in the area, but this is the one I'm familiar with. How old are your kids? |

There are so many great places to eat, that finding one isn't a problem at all.
![]() One of my favorites is the one downtown next to the 5 and dime store. The one that makes the blackberry cobbler. I can't think of the name of the place to save my life. They also have great fried fish, steaks, vegetables. Good homestyle cooking at a great value.

Lamberts, in Ozark gives you a bang for your buck - if you eat your entree and want more of something on your plate, you just have to ask for seconds - no questions asked, they'll get you another steak, more fried chicken or another burger.
You'll never leave there hungry! |

If you're wanting pizza buffet, try Pizza World on the strip next to one of the Tracks (close to Hughes Brothers Theater). I think it's $6-7 each. We really liked their pizza and have eaten there several times. Not as good as Luigi's, but still good for the price.
When we're trying to eat on the cheap, we buy sandwiches from Quiznos or Subway and have chips and drinks at the room. 2 foot longs will feed our family of 5. Or a sack of tacos from Taco Bell works the same. It's not "Branson" food, but if we're trying to save money, it works. Also, if you want to eat buffet, breakfast is cheaper than lunch or dinner. Eat a big breakfast and then snack the rest of the day. We prefer Grand Country Buffet for breakfast, but Golden Corral has a nice one, too. |

Unless things have changed, Starvin Marvin's had a super low priced breakfast buffet that was wonderful.
It was under 4.00 from what I remember last year.

That's awesome that they do offer seconds though- even with the "no doggie bag on seconds" restriction. I've never heard of that anywhere before!

If you sign-up for Dominos Pizza online coupons, they have a Tuesday night special...buy one large pizza, get a second one (of equal or lesser value), free.
