Where have you stayed in 2008?

Things changed and in an effort to give very current Lodging Reviews, would you please post where you have stayed while visiting Branson this year.
Thanks so much,

OK - I've stayed at Duck Harbor in Rockaway Beach in January. Great place and they have been remodeling them, taking up the carpet and putting in hard wood floors -- really nice! Rates start about $45.00 a night.

In February for a quick girls weekend, we stayed at LaQuinta at Music Centre -- very nice, clean, pretty quiet. I would not hesitate to stay there again. With our AARP discount, it was about $46.00 a night. And the plus to staying here is they have a Starbucks on sight.

BRANSON'S BEST!!

We stayed 2 nights here in March and the rooms were super clean! We paid $44.95 a night. They have a free breakfast which consists of: Biscuts, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham, grits, waffles and of course cereal, yogurt, fruit, donuts, bagles and toast. There might be more but thats all that I can remember. They also had orange juice, milk, apple juice and coffee. At night for dessert they have blackberry cobbler and peach cobbler with ice cream...and cookies. The rooms had been remodled since we were last there....Overall it was a very nice stay!!

We stayed at Southern Oaks Inn for 8 nights in March. We had 2 connecting rooms in the D building where the swimming pool is. We were on the ground floor, across from the breakfast room. We really enjoy the location of Southern Oaks... we can walk to restaurants, a craft mall, and a movie theater. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was efficient. The breakfast is not the best in Branson, but it worked for my growing children. In the past, we have not been happy with the condition of the pool, but on this trip, the water was clean and clear. The temperature of the water was more comfortable at the beginning of the week; I think when it started warming outside (it was in the 60s), they shut off the pool heater. There was a definite difference.

I'm sure we'll stay there again. Our rooms were less than $40/each per night (I had reserved last October) so it's very affordable for our family.

We stayed one night at the Branson Best. I would definately stay there again. The rooms were larger than normal motel rooms, and the bed was very comfy. Everything was very clean, believe me, I gave it the white glove test! The cobbler and ice cream was an extra bonus, and the breakfast bar looked yummy, but we did not eat there. There is cocoa and coffee all the time. Great place for the price. We paid $49.95 for a King.

We also stayed at the Cabins at Green Mt. Love these cabins!! They are right in the middle of town, but it still seems like the country. The beds are comfy, and the cabins are fully furnished. Yes, it is a timeshare thingy, but it gets my vote!

We stayed in a RV at Trail's End Resort on Indian Point Road. It was gross. There were stains on the curtains, carpets and bed spread. Duck taped windows, doors and furniture. The knobs on the electrical appliances didn't work..(it was a guessing game) and the worst..we found a toenail on the floor while searching for a spider. The only good point...an outdoor heated swimming pool..the kids loved it.

We stayed at the Whispering Hills last night. It was great. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was great, and the late night, ice cream cookies and cobbler was very tasty. We paid $49.99 for the night. Considering the breakfast and the late night treats, we thought it was worth every penny.
