Tribesman vs. Hunters Friend
We are a group of 30 adults who are looking for a location to have a weekend reunion in October. We think we have narrowed our choice down to these two resorts. We have read quite a few reviews on Tribesman, but not so many on Hunters Friend. Does anyone have any thoughts/opinions on these resorts?

Head to head eh?
Okay, we win! LOL!Let me offer this. Tribesman is a wonderful resort with super owners. You could not possibly be disappointed with anything you would get. The resort has won numerous awards and the family is incredibly devoted to the community as well as their business. I highly recommend them anytime we cannot take the reservation. As for Hunter's Friend - we try to have fun and it seems to work. Best of luck on your reunion.

I'm sure either of these resorts would suite your needs. I do personally know the owners of the Tribesman and you most definitely would enjoy the facilities, the atmosphere and be treated like family. They are truly outstanding people who take the resort business very seriously and treat their guests with the highest regard.
Give them a call and I would do so as soon as possible to ensure facility availability for a group that size. The accommodations are really great. |

I personally haven't used either but plenty of people on here seem to be more tha pleased with Hunter's Friend. You can use the search feature at the top of the forums and search for Hunter's Friend and it should pull up quite a few posts about it for you to see for yourself. Plus the guy who runs it is a member here so you can ask him questions directly

Yeah, me too!I am not sure if this helps narrow it for you or not - but we have an event already planned that will take most of our rooms starting on the 10th through the 18th of Oct. Obviously, if your weekend is in there, we would have to bow out. Thanks, Mike

Like JoLaLaLa...we have never personally stayed at either. We have friends who have stayed with Hunter's Friend and highly recommend them. Our choice between the two would definately be with Hunter's Friend, provided they could accomadate you. If you're planning for October, I would definately get something arranged soon, as we've always found it to be a very busy month in Branson.

I also can't testify as to having stayed at either, but I personnal know both owners and have to say, you did pick the two best operations on the lake in my opinion. Both are very good people to live with and what business I have had with them was equally nice.

I have stayed at both and believe they are both excellent. Tribesman has an indoor pool if there are those in your group who enjoy a pool and they have their own dock if you plan on boating. There is a marina within walking distance of Hunter's Friend also but it is not on their property. I don't think you will go wrong with either of these choices. We enjoyed them both.

We've stayed at Hunter's Friend and would not hesitate to go back. Sorry, haven't stayed at Tribesman.
