SDC this week ?, Spring break in area?

Several ?'s--first SDC is scheuled to be open this week--Thurs March 27, Friday March 28, but closed Sat the 29th and open Sunday March 30th. Do you know why its closed on that Sat?

We are more in the central part of the state of Arkansas, and we are on spring break this week (week of March 24th), I know many schools in NW Arkansas were on spring break last week. Does anyone know if most of the area schools in southern MO, northern Arkansas were on spring break last week or this week?

I have read posts that SDC was a mad house. We are trying to decide if we want to come on Thurs and Friday of this week during our break, but might not do SDC if its going to be horrible.

The last weekend of March is Young Christians Weekend at SDC. While the park is open to all folks on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, I think Saturday at SDC is reserved for all of the youth groups that are coming to Branson. My understanding is that Saturday admission requires a special wristband.

I know that most of the schools in our area North Central will be on spring break this week. We are going to try to go Friday, but if it is too crowded, we will do something else. I am hoping it won't be as crowded.

We went last Thursday and Friday and it was a mad house. It started out okay but by 2 on Thursday and noon on Friday the crowds were the worse then I've ever seen. A worker told us Thursday 7000-7500 were expected but over 15,000 showed up and that many workers were stuck in the line and couldn't make it in. One man told us it took 3 hours to get from Branson to the front gate of SDC. We came in from the KC area on Thursday and took the highway (465) in and missed most the traffic. We were staying on Indian point so Friday we got there half hour early with no traffic and found out the park had opened an hour early to help with the crowds. We left around 12:30 but had managed to ride what we wanted to before leaving.
