Dannas BBQ-above and beyond

Got into town last night(friday) about 815. Headed straight to Dannas for BBQ nachos..Had been dreaming of them the whole 7.5 hour trip down.
Got there about 825 and I kept telling dw that they may be closed on the way there.
Pulled up, got out and did not look as thought they were closed as still had people in there.
Another guy was walking up to door same time as us. He was to door 1st and started pulling on it and would not open. he was pulling pretty hard. and made some noise. We figured out the door was locked and we all headed back to vehicles. he blurted out da.. now I have to go to Sonic.
As we were about to our vehicles a voice called out do you want to eat. You can still come in.
In we all went, happy as heck. Thanked them for allowing us in after closing. She said they just closed at 815 and nothing cleaned so it was fine.
They were very happy we were there and said they had to clean and we would not be bothering them being in there.
I must say that the 3 employees there did not have to open the door. ANY (or not to many) other restaurant would not have run to the locked and blurted out come in even though we are closed. Especially just employees, they usually want to get out asap. Who knows, they may do this on a regular basis to other people but I do not know.
I feel that they went above and beyond and the owners (i do not think they were there or did not see anyone else, do not know them either) should be proud to have these employees working for them and promoting their business.
These are the type of people you want working for you (i wish I had more).
The BBQ nachos were great and would recommend this place to all.

When part of our church group was there last Nov. we were having so much fun (we have a storyteller in our group) and we didn't even notice the time or that we were the only ones left. They were cleaning up around us and we finally realized it and apologized and started gathering up our stuff. They were VERY nice about it. Great food, great people!

That sounds so good, but dh don't like things like that. I couldn't eat them all by myself!! Someone posted a pic on here once of them and it looked too cheesy. Would you have to use a fork to get a chip out???

You go past shorty smalls towards fall creek steak house, It will be on your right,,,,,,,
It's a small building, just look for a parking lot packed with cars.....

They have another location is Branson West and it is just as good.

For a vacation area, BWest certainly has a dearth of decent Restaurants. When out of town golfers are finishing up at Ledgestone in the evening, they ask me where to eat, first assuming the Ledgestone Grill will still be open. When they find out it closes 5-ish and they listen to my list--McDonald's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut--they turn their noses up.

Most of them want something less than 5-star dining at Nicols (after all, they just finished 18 holes of golf, are in casual attire, and--sometimes--pretty worn out/pitted out ), but more than fast food.

The two good places out this way are Danna's and Tequilas. We have gotten to know the owners of both places recently and they are fine people, doing a good job, and with plans for the future. I don't know why, but the Wooden Nickel and places on 265 don't come up.
