Hot Hit Theatre

I was on the 2 for 1 tickets site and saw this:

Hot Hits Theatre
**5 EXCITING NEW SHOWS FOR 2008 **
HOT HITS OF THE 50'S 60'S & 70'S SHOW-
CHICO VEGA'S DRIFTERS-
ISLE OF DREAMS-
MAGIC OF BLAKE AND ANGELA WALKER
THE YEARY's - sweethearts of Branson

I think I remember seeing this theatre downtown across from the Owen's Theatre. Anyone know anything about it or been inside? Was it open in 2007?

THe Hot Hits Theater was barely open the last part of 2007. It is a small theater, but very nice inside. The shows are good, and the people are very nice. I wish them the best of luck for this season.

Motown in Branson

I just finished building the first phase of the Hot Hits website.

They have a religous musical in the morning, Isle of Dreams, Rico J and the Hot Hits of the 50's, 60's and 70's and will announce a new motown show next week.

The theatre is located in Downtown Branson and has a coffee shop with free wi-fi access.

Check it: Branson Hot Hits Theater

I can't comment on the shows, as I have not seen them yet. I will say, however, that the commercial that has been airing on local television is not doing them any favors.

That said, I will probably go see their Hot Hits show because Nedra Culp is in it and we have always loved hearing her sing. We missed her while she was on the road touring with a Ray Charles tribute, but we were able to catch the show when it came to Hammons hall in Springfield last year. She was phenomenal as always in that show.

I agree with you concerning Nedra Culp.
Branson has many fine female Singers, but I think Nedra is the very best I have heard!

I saw the Hot Hits gang perform a song at Jim Stafford's one night at one of those Branson showcase thingys... I have to say... I really enjoyed them. They looked like they were having a lot of fun. I heard that the theatre is small and intimate. I'm gonna check'em out this year for sure.

I saw Chico Vega, Rico J and different variations of the show 3 times last fall. The theatre holds just 80 people, the age is teeny and of course there were only about 6 of us there each time. The Drifters show was great. I think it's Rico's wife that does some Tina Turner. There's also a great singer named James, shoot I can't remember his last name, that did an awesome Lou Rawls. I'm pretty sure Dee Dee Hamilton was singing once, too. And, yes, it's directly across from the Owens Theatre.

Someone, obviously connected to the show, came on here about two weeks ago, in the form of a shill promoting the "Isle Of Dreams" - "this is the best thing since the invention of the wheel" etc.

When they were called upon it, the person concerned then started preaching at us.

Their preaching didn't offend me. That might be another issue, just my opinion.
I've seen the shows there. This theatre honors God so you gotta ask yourself first if you would like that kind of enviorment first before you go. I loved it. The producer Michael O'Hare I found out has written many songs in the business for big time artists like Anita Baker and has had grammy award nominations. Miss Culp is at the top of her game singing like always. My opinion is, her voice is worth the ticket price alone. Some go to church at TRI-LAKES and sing on Praise and Worship team. Great people in these shows. I am not connected to this show just checked it out. It is the real deal.

How do you get 2 for 1 tickets? I'm going to Branson April 1 - 4th. It would be great to be able to get a deal.
Thanks

The 2 for 1 ticket place is on the strip across from the Firehouse... They really do have some good shows participating with them. No timeshares or gimmicks. Just tickets.

The guy in the Drifter's show that does Lou Rawls is James Loveless. He also plays Jesus in the Isle of Dreams at 10 AM Wed-Sat at the Hot Hits Theater. O'Hara (left) and Loveless (right) are pictured here together in the Decision scene of the Isle of Dreams.

Is this James Loveless that sang the Lou Rawls song in the Motown show when it was at the Branson Mall???

Hey James, it's you! I caught the Drifter's show a few times last year and thought that you were great! Welcome to the board!
