Crescent Hotel Hosts 3rd Annual Ghost Seminar
Have you seen the show about the Crescent Hotel on the Sci-Fi Channel?

By the way..is that hotel still opened? I have been to Eureka Springs a few times and I guess I have never seen the hotel.

I've only been to Eureka Springs a few times so am not all that familiar with the town. But is the Crescent Hotel the one that is 'downtown', and not the big hotel on top of the hill?

This website (the hotel's history page) tells all about the fake cancer cure that killed 100s of people at the hotel that is supposed to be the cause of the haunting.

crescent ghost event
Eureka Springs needs all the tourist it can handle. It is a wonderful quaint little village that is rapidly dying. It's most popular weekends are the Diversity Weekends. Days of the live music coming from Restaurant balconies are gone because of a noise ordinance passed. So needless, to say gone are the fun days of the 90's bar hopping. The shoppes only stay open till around 5-6pm. The blues Fest turned into Biker Fest. so I hope the ghost can breathe new life into the town so it will survive. The bus tours weren't allowed to go down Spring St. so there went the bus tours. Maybe Branson will just expand to the little town and then it will be easier for the residents- that didn't want to Bransonize Eureka Springs. They need to promote themselves as a day drive while on vacation in Branson. Those trust fund babies just don't like change or neon lights I guess.
