Condo for April?

We are looking for a condo in April (either during our birthdays or when our church youth will be at Fame) with one bedroom, wifi in room, around $600 for the week or less.

VRBO has been mentioned here before so we looked there:
Pointe Royale has 2 listed -
One says newly remodeled $500
One is $450 with 7th nite free

Tall Pines - The Hiding Place, new cabin, $600 with 7th nite free (looks remote from things though.

Also, one question is are these prices not including tax?

Can anyone give ideas or familiar with any of these? Thanks!

Each owner is different as far as taxes go - some include them in the rate, and others add it. Just call the owner and ask. Be sure to also ask if cleaning is included or if that is separate (it shouldn't be much if it isn't included, as you are looking at 1 bedrooms).

I've seen the Tall Pines listing before - that one looks like a really great place. Just ask the owner how far they are from the places that are important to you.

Thanks Tyann! I do see that the Hiding Place says $40 cleaning fee if less than 3 days. And I do see that it is maybe out a ways but if it isn't hard to get to, DH might like it out there. I would rather be closer in but whatever works.
Seems like maybe one of the sites mentioned 6+% tax.

Pointe Royale

Contact Marlene Dixon at the following address pointeroyale@comcast.net. She has several units she owns in Pointe Royale 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom units that are very very nice. She is a super lady and will do anything to make her guests a happy experience. Let her know the Seeker's have stayed with her.

Hunters Friend Resort has internet in some of their rooms - and they have rooms available for most of April.

Yep, we do have something that would fit your needs but would need to know the dates. We have several weekends that are already sold out in April (the 18-20th comes to mind at this moment)

Internet is free in all units that we have. If I can help give a call and ask for Mike. I'll be glad to help if we can.

Thanks for the suggestion, ggh.
I had considered checking there but that's farther away than we would like and their condos wouldn't work for us. Sounds like really nice people though and a great place to stay!

We ended up at Pointe Royale from VRBO list. We had talked to Marlene but she said they didn't have internet. DH needs that for church comunication and I enjoy it for the forum and any info needed. We talked to Marlene but she didn't have internet.

fwiw - Just an update on the Tall Pines Vacation Rentals. DH called while we were in Branson just to get more info. They say they are out by Big Cedar so it's a ways from Branson but still listed as Branson on VRBO. One of the rental comments said it was 20 minutes away from Branson.

I rented this two bedroom at Pointe Royale last month. It was awesome, and only $49/night! We paid $50 for cleaning and tax. Our total for three nights was $200. It was so nice and the owner is wonderful to work with. He lives in the STL area. I found it on vrbo. The listing is 26514. It had wireless internet access too!

I did go to look at their page. That seems a good price, even with the $50 cleaning fee. According to their page, the internet isn't in the room, it's in the club house. Of course, now that it's in season, it's $99 a night. Thanks for the info.
