Very Busy!!!!! Fall Festivals and the trees turning has people flocking to the area. I remember one October going without make a room arrangements thinking we could find one easy...boy that was a tough job tour busses galore and motels jam packed. If you are seriously thinking of going I would make room arrangements before hand. Later part of October is a pretty time to go and the weather is usually still warm.

I just called the Mel Tillis Theater for tickets in September and they told me that Sept. and Oct. were their peak times.
So make your reservations early.

We have always gone the first week in October. We really didn't think the crowds/traffic was too bad. We don't have anything to compare it to other than what other people have said. We make our reservations for shows/hotels in February. We have always had great seats never past the 4th row. We usually arrive in Branson on Sunday and leave on Friday, so I guess being there during the week might make a big difference. We really enjoy it that time of year because of the leaves turning and the temperatures are great that time of year.

Oct. is a busy time, but it is a great time to go! The weather is fantastic .. sometimes a bit chilly. We were there Veterans Day last year -- the weather was great that week also. But, workers at Silver Dollar City said the year before is was freezing and I believe had percep. so I guess MO. is like any other state -- the weather is unpredicatable.

There are bus tours galore during September & October with the festivals, etc., but during the week it really isn't too bad. The weekends are another story. We always go down on Sunday and leave on Thursday - get there when people are leaving and leave before they start arriving. Then Traffic, etc. isn't too bad. Great time to go - Trees are beautiful and the weather is just perfect, mostly light jacket.

I called today to get tickets for Bobby Vinton for Sunday Oct. 13 ,8pm show and was told there was nothing good left!! I had to get them for another day but it just goes to show you that it's never too early to get your tickets.
