Branson Area Appreciation & Benefit Show Announcements

The sole purpose of this thread is to provide a convenient place announce Area Appreciation and Benefit Shows. Show reviews etc. or other comments should be made in other threads. Area Apprecaition shows are shows, in most cases, intended for residents of the area mentioned in the announcment. Although the purpose of a benefit show is obvious, but from a pure show standpoint they sometimes provide a great value, not only in terms of helping someone or cause, but in terms price, and the variety of Branson Stars appearing.

ID required: In most cases some form of ID will be required for ID show Drivers License, pay stub, etc. will be required for Area Appreciation Shows. The general rule is that these shows are designed for permanent residents of the area. Questions regarding ID etc. should be posted to Show Forum. This forum is strictly for announcments of Area Appreciation and Benefit Shows.

In order to provide ready access to those Area Appreciation and Benefit Shows that are currently available posts will be deleted as the dates for a particular show passes.

Hi Gary!

Well, Rock U Mentally is back for the 2010 season but I wanted to mention that we will be hosting or first "SPRING BREAK BASH" this spring! We will host four special shows, that will coincide with the Branson and Springfield school system's Spring Break, on Friday/Saturday; March 19th 20th, 26th and 27th; at 10am! Educational groups of 10 or more (this includes all students, teachers and chaperones) will get into the show for only $5. Lunch options are also available for an awesome price. One of Branson's most famous attractions, the Titanic, will be hosting a fundraising event the community will never forget. In helping to support the Humane Society of Taney County and the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, the Titanic will be hosting S.O.S. (Save Our Strays!) March 18th 6-9 pm. This event will be $75 per ticket. I found out Noah the Musical is doing area appreciation shows for Stone, Taney, and Christian County. March 26 - April 30 for $10 per person. You have to go to the box office to pick up the tickets but one person can pick up for as many as 14.

Several Branson entertainers and Convoy of Hope are teaming up for a Benefit Concert for the earthquake victims in Haiti. Some of those participating are the World Famous Platters, The Hughes Brothers and SIX, as well as many others. The Concert will take place on Wednesday, March 10, at 3pm at the Hughes Brothers' Theatre. Donations of any amount -- by cash or check only -- will be taken at the door. The Rankin Brothers Classic Music Revue will be having their Area Appreciation Shows March 11th-31st 8pm at the Caravelle Theatre. Tickets are $5.00 per person for Stone, Taney, Christian, Greene, Baxter, and Boone Counties. ID is required. Tickets can be purchased at the Caravelle Box Office 3446 West 76 Country Blvd.

Right here is a good spot. If you're in the area then your local newspaper may have an ad for one when it begins. We get the Harrison Daily Times and they frequently have a notice of an event. KHOZ - 102.9 FM, KCWD - 96.1 FM in Harrison, AR & KOMC - 100.1 FM in Kimberling City/Branson, KRZK - 106.3 FM Branso, MO often have that information too. Probably others, but those are the ones we listen to.
