At $3.09/gallon, I'm beginning to think I need to start staying in a hotel, and visiting WOW, so I can take advantage of the gas buster program, and pay for my gas, lol.

Does anyone know of any other areas doing anything similar?

Last summer I had friends visit in Branson and they stopped and got their gas buster card. Unless it has gotten better this year, it was awful last year. There was not 1 thing on there that we would have used. Any discounts they had on there, you could find the same discounts in Sunny Day Guide.

I believe this is another gas discount program, different from the one you are referring to. We purchased our SDC tickets (2 days for the price of 1 of course) through www.bransontourism.com. On their website they have a page you can print off that gives you a 20 cent discount per gallon of gas if you purchase a room or tickets through them.

I can verify that for this year. I believe that 99% of the items on there were the same discount that one could find on coupons elsewhere.

I showed my receipts at the welcome center on 248 near 65, and got the card, but didn't use it. It's good thru October, I believe. They actually weren't very particular about seeing your receipts there (though I showed them my $40 worth), and in fact, while I was there, they were mainly asking people to sign in and if they figured the distance was over 100 miles, they just gave them the gasbusters card.

Just a thought

I dont know about you all, but i detest "coop-uns*".
Coop-uns rank right up there with bus-passes.
Your making people work WAY too much for WAY too little!
$4 off per night for lodging ??? Are you kidding?
$2 off per show ticket ??? That wont even cover a large soda in most theaters
$2 off per attraction admission ??? Will that even cover PART of the sales tax?
$2 off per retail purchase ???? Now you might take that to the DOLLAR STORE and go hog wild...
$2 off per restaurant receipt ??? We ate at Landry's last night and that wouldnt have even got the tip!

Why not just give them 50 cents off coop-uns for Ramen Noodles?
I would be more impressed if they gave me a $10 Phillips 66 pre-paid gas card than $50 worth of $2 each coop-uns.

Sorry if that ruffles anyone's feathers, that's just one man's opinion, dont mean much more than just that.

So let me get this straight they give you the $50 card BUT you cant get $50 off any place on the list? Its just coupons at certain places?
