Taylor Hicks

I've heard that Taylor Hicks is going to be at the Welk Theater July 30. Has anyone heard anything about this and know any details?

We're there that weekend but leaving Sunday. Not sure I'd want to see Taylor anyway.

Now Daughtry... I'd stay in town an extra night to see him....

I'll have to check that out. I'd like to see Taylor -- even though I would MUCH rather see Bo Bice or Chris Daughtry!!!

Thanks for the information! I seen Taylor in March here in St. Louis at the Bottlebeck Blues Bar at the Ameristar and he was FANTASTIC!!!!! It was well worth every penney! Tickets ran $35- $45. I have not seen anything yet with the price of the tickets in Branson. His performance was non stop for almost 2 hours. I have a few friends that seen Chris a few weeks ago, his tickets were $90.00 and he only performed for 50 minutes. They said Taylor's concert was much better.

I'm planning on a trip to Branson in July to see Taylor!

Taylor Hicks' live show is much better than the CD

For anyone who has heard Taylor's CD and was disappointed, please don't judge him on that. His live show is FAR better than the CD.
The CD was produced by Clive Davis, and was part of the year long contract with him winning American Idol last year. Clive tried to make Taylor sound way too pop, and Taylor wasn't able to do the sound that he does best...soul, R&B, etc. I'm not knocking Clive Davis, because the man has had much success in the music industry. He just wasn't on the same page with Taylor.
I know for a fact, that Taylor has a smokin hot touring band, and he puts on a great concert. If the tickets are in the under $50 apiece range, I'll be there.

Thanks for the info Bluesman. I had not heard Taylor's CD myself, but know people who weren't impressed. I am even more interested in seeing his live show after what you've just said.

I think that this is pretty great news...that the Welk Resort is bringing American Idols to Branson.

Remember that Carrie Underwood played at The Grand Palace.

Taylor Hicks Info

Tickets go on sale May 11th. Welk resorts haven't officially released the price yet, but insider info says first 7 rows in center will be $95.50 which is way too expensive being as in St Charles @ Bottleneck Blues Bar I paid $58.75
and $55.00 @ Kansas City at Ameristar Casino there just a week ago!!
On the sides they are supposed to be $60.00 and cheap seats 39-49 way in the back!!

Taylor Hicks

Taylor Hicks puts on an awesome show!! He has so much energy and you can tell he is living his dream!! I will see him @ Welk Resort and it will be the third time of seeing him. He did almost 2 hrs at both casino shows. Props to Joe Sullivan and Co for bringing him to Branson. Taylor will make you proud!! His band members are very talented and they really gel!! He did a version of Supertramp-Take The Long Way Home in St. Charles and blew the #$@@
outta that harmonica!! Buy his CD and then come see him live in Branson!!

That's right Taylor Hicks at Welk Resort. Tickets are going on sale May 11th. You can buy a Darren Romeo/Taylor Hicks combo, two awesome shows.
