Hey gang I want your input on an opportunity about a show I have found out about recently.

The motown sound has always been one of my favorites and I have often thought about having a group in to do a concert. The opportunity has arisen and there is a group that would like to come play. They are great. The band is one that plays together all the time and are nationally known to start with and it is the standard lead and bass (Fantastic by the way) drums, keyboard and sax. For these motown shows they add the three back up singers and the lead singer. The lead singer is grammy nominated for a song she wrote for Whitney Houston and also had a hip hop cd that made it high on the charts. She decided she was not cut out for the L.A. thing and came back to the midwest to start her real life. ( When she was 17 or 18 I had the opportunity to sing, When I Fall in Love, with her for a wedding. She was fabulous then and she has matured and gotten twice as good.)

So my question is two fold. One what do you think of a motown show and when would you think a good time would be to have it? Any and all input will be appreciated.

By the way, the jazz events last week were great, thanks to those that came out.
