Beverly's Steakhouse

I drove past Beverly's Steakhouse on 76 near Mt. Branson over the weekend and saw that it's opened. The parking lot was full. Any reviews from anyone?

Don't know what you mean by "Mt. Branson", so have no idea where Beverly's Steakhouse is! What else is near by?

Go through downtown Branson and over Lake Taneycomo bridge that leads into Hollister. When you reach the stoplight at the end of the bridge, take a left onto East 76 and follow it around which leads up a large hill, a.k.a. Mt. Branson.

As you get to the top and round the corner, you'll pass Dillon's Pub on the left (by CandleStick entrance) and see lots of new apartments being built further up on the right. In that same area is Beverley's Steakhouse. They just opened; but I haven't checked it out yet.

I wasn't aware they'd opened. I'll have to check it out soon. I'll let you know when I do.

Not what I expected...

DH and I decided to stop tonight for supper on our way to Lowe's. (As an aside, I think I've been to Lowe's at least twice a day since last week's move....but that's another subject.)

"Steakhouse & Grill" is a misnomer. While there are 2 steaks on the menu (prime rib and I think KC Strip), it is primarily sandwiches / burgers / appetizers. There is a bar and one pool table. There is not a non-smoking section.

We ordered fried mushrooms to start. They were typical frozen variety, a little heavy on the breading.

DH got the club sandwich. It comes with chips, but you can upgrade to fries which he did. The ham on the sandwich is a nice thick cut of real ham, and the bacon is nicely done. The turkey is deli-style, and it's so overridden by the amount of bacon and ham he hardly knew it was there! The fries are crinkle cut (frozen).

I got the patty melt, which also came with chips (ripple). Nicely done, with the patty cooked medium and red onions instead of yellow, which I appreciated. No thousand island dressing, however.

For 2 sodas, mushrooms, one sandwich with fries and one sandwich with chips, it was $23.08.

Other menu items...appetizers: jalapeno poppers, nachos, onion rings, chicken wings.....entrees: fried catfish, baked chicken, fried chicken ($9.99 and up).....various pastas.....steaks from $12.99 to $15.99.....sandwiches: club, blt, burgers, ham & cheese.

Waitress was attentive and very friendly.

I think they'll have a hard time competing with Dillon's, which is nearby and is much the same environment.

We often stay at Holiday Hills, which is on past that. You had me interested until the review said NO non-smoking section. Can't handle that.
