Dining in Eureka Springs?
Where do you dine when in Eureka Springs, and why?
Let's break it up into Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Thanks, |

Have to eat supper at Ermilio's at least once every trip.
Love the Little Baking Company (is that the right name?) for a sweet treat or lunch.

Not in any specific order, for lunch or dinner: Rogue's Manor, Sparky's, Bubba's BBQ, Cafe Santa Fe, Dowd's Catfish (now Catfish Cabin)...and we have to go see Annie at Roadkill Cafe.
For breakfast, Myrtie Mae's, Forest Hill, Crescent Brunch and the Pancake House. Why? Because they're good. There are lots and lots of new restaurants we want to try. We have a vacation and a 5'th Anniversary to be celebrated in Eureka Springs, in April. Hope to try some of the new ones.

All of those are great. Little Bread Company has one of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten, with or without pecans, and they are so big you can buy one and have it two days in a row.
I love Catfish Cabin and they have an all you can eat crablegs night. Anyone else tried the Motorcycle shop on 62 east just before you get out of town? I had a burger in there a while back. Remember when they would throw the bun on the grill so when you got it there was a thin sheen on it? That is how they do it. I have not been there for breakfast but I bet it is great. Anyone else? |

We are hooked on DeVito's for Italian. Just love the place. We also found the Paper Rose Tea Room on my last trip a couple of years ago and fell in love with them for lunch!
And for a snack -- Two Dumb Dames Fudge Factory! Vickie |

Don't know of a Molly's in town. Try the Motorcycle shop next time you're in town, now that is some good ole cookin' I kid you not.

When I asked DH if he remembered where we ate a few years ago there, he asked if I remembered something about a sisters place and someone would sing? It was a little place and maybe on a little knoll, of course, everything is on a knoll
BTW, not suggesting this was a place to try, just wondering what it was.

Sounds like you might have gone to Chelseas with Donsgal before you went to the place on the knoll. I'm concerned about how much time some of us might be spending at Chelseas before going someplace else to eat. I love Chelseas but gang we need to start writing some of this down so we don't forget.
Going to Chelseas now, talk to you later. |

And the (sisters?) place was out on the main route. Don't know my directions there but I think if you came up out of the downtown area and turned left, it would be out that way on the left. (It seems someone suggested we go there) How's that for dumb directions ![]()

Yes, there used to be a place on Highway 62 in Berryville, called "Dowd's Catfish". Of course, they had other things besides catfish. It was very, very good. Well, they closed it and now the same people have "Catfish Cabin" in the same building as the Pound Sisters used to be. I've not eaten at the one in ES, but if it's anything like the original...it's wonderful.

Good to see you have a sense of humor Preacherman as I was poking a little fun at you and Donsgal. I am glad Mellie jumped in and help out. Places do come and go.
I would like to make a plug here. We are having a Jazz weekend March 21st to March 24th. We have some sponsors that are supporting us in this endeavor. First of all go out to the website to see who they are. They are all very good and you would enjoy eating or shopping at them. Second take a minute to find out who we are having in for our Jazz. This is some of the coolest jazz artists you will see at one location at one time for a while in this neck of the woods. Ticket prices are very reasonable and I would like to personally invite you to come to at least one of these shows. I know you will enjoy being in Eureka Springs and I know you will enjoy the show. Thanks, |
