Help Me Find....

Can someone please help me find a posting from last year. I have tried the search feature, but I still can't find it. It was from a member that had driven on quite a vacation North. I remember this person saying that "if you want to see where God lives" they had found it. Does anyone else remember this? I'm pretty sure it was a National Park - but even when I search that, it doesn't come up! My husband thinks it was Yosemite, but that doesn't even come up! It was a wonderful review, I JUST CAN'T FIND IT!

I can't find anything. Do you remember any of the state names? It sounds like a post from Preacherman & Lynda...but I can't find it.

I made a few posts about a trip up north (Rhode Island, New York, West Virginia) but I don't think I gave a real "review"...and I don't remember saying "where God lives".

Hi all!

Sorry, it wasn't us.

Curious - When I did a search for "God" in all posts none are found. I know one for sure about God and Country Gardens so I wonder why it doesn't show up in the search?

Oh man, I'm trying to remember more. I think this person drove up from Texas, maybe through Colorado. Seems like they spent quite a while on the trip. They were talking about the beauty of the country. My husband thinks it was Yosemite, but that doesn't sound right to me. The point that stuck with me was about the beauty of the land.

This is as close as I"ve come to your description. Probably not what you want but had to show you anyway.

"We left East Texas on July 1 and drove through Oklahoma, took a left in Kansas, went up the Colorado eastern border and made it to Nebraska on the first day.....1100 miles......made for a great next day at Mt Rushmore, SD...dang, that really is awesome to see and they had a live Native American Band playing...so inspiring and appropiate for around the 4th...they had played for Kevin Conaster's opening movies..Dances with Wolves and Open Range.....went from there to Devil's Tower in WY (remember that from Close Encounters?????).....if that's the devil's tower then it's God's foot stool On to Montana and stopped at Little Bighorn Battlefield, known for Custer's last stand....then on to my sister's who lives 1 mile from the Canadian border two hours north of Kalliespell, MT....that's when we made our trips to Glacier National Park and white water rafting and I caught my first cutthroat trout, and ate him yummmm......Left on July 9, drove 8 hours and enter Yellowstone from the north.....saw the mammoth springs, bison, elk, moose, foxes and deer...a little taken back by the damage of the fires.....left that evening and stayed in Cody, WY..named by the founder Buffalo Bill (Cody)....a great town....went back into Yellowstone the next day and that's when we saw Old Faithful, Lake Yellowstone and more bison....amazing place....took us 3 days to get home from there...by way of Casper, WY...Denver (ugh), New Mexico and then into Amarillo all the way across Texas to get back to our little part of this world.......what variety and beauty....what an awesome God we have.....I stand amazed...I think we will do something like that again next year... Anybody else wanna come?????"

Hopes this helps.
God's blessings,
Lynda

You're very welcome BJ! I ended up searching for the word "beautiful". We have been on Amtrak tours east and west but also considered going up thru Glacier some day.

Blessings!
Lynda

If that's all you put in your search, it was because the word "God" is too short. Hard to believe that the word "God" isn't enough, huh?

You've got that right, Mellie! When we feel that "God isn't enough" we get ourselves into all kinds of deep doo doo. And yes, I see what you mean, I tried other 3 letter words and that doesn't work. If I knew that I had forgotten. Thanks!

Lynda

Blue Jay - Glacier Natl Park is a wonderful place to go. I traveled on the 'Going to the Sun' road which takes you right thru the park ( and over the mountain). Alot to see & do, plenty of wildlife, hikes, etc. Some of the highway is very narrow, and it is not a fast drive - but spectacular!

I went on my way to Waterton Natl Park in Alberta Canada, which is the north end of Glacier Park. It was a great trip & worth repeating. While staying in Waterton Park (it is like a small township) saw black bear & deer in town. Lot's to do, & very scenic!

Could it have been Sedona, Arizona I know God lives there. Just try driving and you will have to pull over. The red rock formations take your breath away! Masterchief
