JR's Motor Inn

Has anyone ever stayed at JR's Motor Inn? We are looking for a place to stay over Thanksgiving weekend and of course with it being a holiday are having a tough time finding a motel that can accomodate our entire stay. I came across this motel and wonder what kind of reviews it has. THANKS!

I stayed there a couple of years ago. It was nice and clean. The only problem I had was I had requested a ground floor and they didn't give that to us. There isn't an elevator.

It is one of those old Branson Inonic motels. I am sure they have had to do some renovation is the past few years. My family stayed there a few times in my teenage years, I am 29 now.

When we were there in the late 80's and early 90's it was fine. Good sized room. Right in the middle of everything. My Aunt was into the the Dallas thing, so she liked the place.

I would not make a reservation based on my recomendation. Just been to long. Hope someone will have an update for you.

Thanks! We are coming down T-giving wknd and of course are having a horrible time finding a place to stay. Of course we prefer the 50 - 60 range, but it looks like we may have to go higher. I keep telling myself as many motels as there is in Branson that they just cannot all be full. JR's looked fine in the picture that was why I was wondering about reviews.

We ALWAYS stay at Whispering Hills, and last I checked they were full for 1 of the nights that we will be in Branson so if we stayed there we'd have to go through the hassle of switching motels....with 3 kids!

Any suggestions???

You might try the Spinning Wheel. We have reservations there for the week after thanksgiving. We usually call early, but this time we didn't make reservations until the first of this month. We called the hotel where we usually stay and it was booked along with some others we called. We have never stayed at the Spinning Wheel, but the reviews I've read here say that it's really clean. I'm going to guess it's already booked for the weekend you want, but it never hurts to call and check.

Melissa,

Thanks for your help! I did already try the Spinning Wheel, and yes, they are booked. My husband works with someone that recommended it to us, so I'm sure you should be fine. I have a list of some others that do have availibility that I am going to search for reviews.

1. Mountain Music Inn

2. Lynina Inn

3. Tara Inn

4. Branson's Yellow Rose Motel

I have not heard of any of these so will definately need reviews before I'd reserve.

We will be down there over Thanksgiving too and got rooms for $36 at the Palms. It received good reviews everywhere I looked. I have an e-mail from them I think with pictures that I could forward to you if you are interested. PM me if so.

msjones....we stayed at Mountain Music Inn the last time we were in Branson. It was clean and has a really nice pool area. The rooms could use some updating, but as I said they are clean. There's a vanity in the bathroom and one in the room which is nice if more than one person is trying to get ready at the same time. It's in a pretty good location too. It's not far off the strip, but at the same time you can exit the back way and avoid getting into the traffic on the strip if you want to.
