Trip Review for October 12-14th
My wife and I recently spent 3 days in Eureka Springs before going to Branson for 3 days. Here is what we did:
Smother's Brothers: We saw the Smothers Brothers on Thursday night at the Auditorium downtown. They were as funny as ever and their voices are still good too. Tommy did his famous "yoyo man" routine and he can still do the yoyo tricks. We like the Auditorium as it is fairly small and the venue is more personal. Bavarian Inn Restaurant: This is our favorite restaurant in Eureka Springs. We ate there twice and the food is great. Our favorite is the Wienerschnizel. They were extremely busy on the second evening so we skipped dessert and went and had dessert somewhere we hadn't been before. Autumn Breeze Restaurant: This is also a great restaurant nestled in the trees with a great view. The food and service were both excellent. Rogue's Manor: This is were we went for a late dessert and coffee. It is located on the old Historic Route in a Victorian Style House. We had creme brule. It was excellent and the atmosphere was special. Very pricey though. Service was very good. The remainder of the trip was spent shopping and going down to the river to view the scenery. Eureka Springs is a great place to go and relax. |

Thanks for the great review. We went to Eureka Springs 8 or 9 years ago and it was beautiful. I remember thinking I wasn't real thrilled with the windy roads or was it dh driving

Thanks for the review....sounds like you had an enjoyable trip.
I'm going to have to tear myself away from Branson on one of our trips, and make it over to Eureka Springs.

Late night dessert? Try Ermillio's, Mud Street or Cafe Amore next time. All of these aren't pricey & the desserts, although varied, are divine. The little Bread Company closes by 8pm BUT the cream puffs are gigantic for less than $2 you can have dessert there or to go!

Late NIght Dessert
Thanks for the tips on late night dessert havesthouse. We will definitely try those out. I have eaten at Ermillio's, but have not had dessert there. I usually make a couple of trips to Eureka Springs each year. I have not tried Mud Street or Cafe Amore.
