Do you know anyone who is working there that is making only minimum wage? I know three and they are all WELL ABOVE the current minimum wage.

There are a very large number of unfilled positions paying well over minimum wage. No one in Branson needs to accept a mininum wage job!

I'm a little confused.....and I wrote the article! Confused, that is, what the article has to do with the issue of minimum wage on the ballot for Missouri voters.

The money spent to develop and build Branson Landing came from private developers, not taxpayers and would be but a small minority of voters who have in their power the chance to raise minimum wage.

Your article had nothing to do with minimum wage, just following the direction the thread went in.

Although most of the funds used to build the Landing came from private developers, a very large amount of public funds were used in the form of TIF financing

But the general voting public has no say on how, when, or where TIF funding is used - it's out of the hands of the people although the people DO have a chance to vote for minimum wage - which I hope the majority do.

The minimum wage limit in Missouri doesn't really matter here in Branson; it could just as well be $1.00 and hour. Very few people earn less than the current $5.15 an hour or even the proposed $6.50. The minimum would have to be raised well over $7.00 before very many people would benefit.

Unhappy Branson Landing Convention Center

Will not change the fact that it is here and done. (Highly successful as well I might add)
