American Idol~Keep Up With What's Going On...

Imagine a high school reunion where everyone can sing. And that was the American Idol Rewind launch party last night at the very hip Spider Club in Hollywood. “American Idol Rewind” is a brand new show that will re-air Season One in a whole new way, including never-before-seen auditions and current interviews with some of the contestants. The Rewind party was a veritable “Who’s Who” in the American Idol world, attracting such former Idols as Kimberly Caldwell, Anthony Federov, Vonzell Solomon, Mikalah Gordon and many, many more!

The success of many of the former Idols is astounding, with most of them having completed one or more albums and some landing TV roles and correspondent jobs. More than talking about their careers, though, they seemed concerned with getting inside and catching up with each other.

Brian Dunkleman, co-host with Ryan Seacrest during that first season, walked the American Idol Blue carpet as well. He’s actually the voice for American Idol Rewind despite leaving the show after that initial year.

The reunion continued inside, with the Idols dancing, chatting and taking pictures with one another, all the while paying tribute to Justin Guarini. Guarini, Season One’s runner up to pop superstar Kelly Clarkson, performed numerous songs, many of which were off his new album. With a big smile on his face, Justin performed while calling out old friends’ names throughout the concert.

Undoubtedly, the American Idol alumni had a fantastic evening celebrating the launch of American Idol Rewind this coming weekend!
