Dick Clark reservations-no problem

Haven't had time to get on the board lately and was very surprised to read that people were having problems getting reservations at Dick Clark's theater.
I made mine for the end of October last week and didn't have any problems. The gal was very nice and although it took a few minutes, (I booked all 3 shows) I didn't have any problems. A couple of days later a friend was telling me I should have done it online, so I went to the DC Bandstand web site in the tickets section and its great. You pick your date, click on order tickets and a picture of the theater seating comes up, you pick the section you would like to book and another picture of that section comes up and you can pick the exact seats you want from what still available. I'm sure I'll use this method next time I make reservations.

Oh, and I'm also one of those people who like to make my own arrangements and know where I'm sitting. I save all year to be able to see alot of shows each trip, and I want to choose ahead where I'm sitting.

I never got the seating chart to come up. Could you please give more complete instructions?

We have seen the Original Stars of American Bandstand, The Comets, and Cruisin' '57 Show. All three are VERY good. We are going to the Patch Collection as soon as we can. I've heard really good things about it.

Okay, try www.dickclarksbranson.com
Click on tickets and information-click on" order tickets" for the show you want-and a calendar will come up-click on the date you want-another window comes up with name and time of show-click on "order tickets" and a picture of seating comes up-click on the section you want and a diagram of sold seats and seats available comes up with prices for those seats. I don't know if they have all the dates up for all the shows yet, but it gives you a great idea of how the theater is arranged. Hope this helps

In reality sweet sue, these type sales are such a minor part of their attendance, it is just not cost effective. Then you also have the problem of continual updating, schedule changes, refunds, cancellations, etc etc it is a total headache. But it is good idea.

While this set up may only be accounting for a small percentage of sales at this time - I think it's the wave of the future.

Also depending on how the program is set up - updating/schedule changes/refunds/cancellations may (probably are) all integrated into the main data base. All we're seeing is the fancy front end - but these types of set ups for sale are simply a data base program.

I love it! It takes it right to the consumer. If the consumer takes the time to buy directly from the theater - the consumer gets to pick the prime seats..

You speak with such authority.... like you have inside information in ticket sales.
May I ask what business you are in?

Yes you may. I am retired, but still help deliver products part time to many of the theaters. I dont speak with any authority, just often hear rumors or facts before they are common knowledge. Some of these I am able to share with the forum, and some not. OK??

The wave of the future is right.

You can about do anything online, in the end saving time and money.

I order from Safeway Grocery Store online, for my Mother......they deliver her groceries for 7 bucks in four hours if I choose that for the time.........usually we do it in the evening and the man is putting her groceries on her kitchen counter and the milk in the fridge ...next morning.

Trucking permits etc etc..........Gov't websites online with a credit card...saves on hold telephone calls, and/or mailing anything.......amazing.

I order frozen meats online.........cheese online.......all delivered right to my door. Some from people here in the Ozarks. So you can do business in your own back yard ...online.

Then.....I order airline tickets online............data bases that afford me the opportunity to make reservations, change them and/or cancel them...online.

I can bank online....pay my bills online.........

Why NOT BUY BRANSON TICKETS, SEAT AND ALL.........ONLINE?

The technology is there...putting it in place, can be a very inexpensive thing.........and in the end, it puts people to work, maning the system...

Thanks for the info catyshak

I do as much on line as I can. I pay as many bills as I can on line; saves postage and I know the payment arrived on time!
